New Delhi based Indian Folk Metal band BLOODYWOOD has released the official music video for their newest single, “Machi Bhasad (Expect a Riot).”
“Originally created for the upcoming Ubisoft game “Beyond Good and Evil 2“, Machi Bhasad is a track with a political message that celebrates the power of a new generation and its potential to be better than the last. Outside the context of the game, this song is intended as both a tribute and a call to action. It’s a tribute to musicians and leaders who inspired people like ourselves to think and act in a way that’ll benefit everyone. To question an unjust system that serves a few at the cost of the many. It’s a call to action for our generation to finish the work started by all those who came before us. To Become the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back, and change the world for the better.”

Charlotte, NC Alternative Rock Band FALLING THROUGH APRIL has released the official music video for their single, “Recover // Relapse.” Directed by Alex Hieder, “Recover // Relapse” originally premiered on Substream Magazine.
“‘Recover // Relapse’ is about any and all addictions we individually face. As badly as we want to fight and break the desire to escape by numbing or distracting ourselves by abusing substances and sometimes people, something in us just wants to take the easy way out and give up. Recovery isn’t as easy as talking to someone about your struggles and the ugliest part is facing who we see in the mirror. So when I wrote ‘R//R,’ I wanted to express and release the pain I’ve held onto when I identified myself with the person I was when I chose to run away from my broken life rather than standing strong and finding hope in a new day. Sometimes it takes time after time to get it right. So nobody should feel bad about relapsing, at least we are brave enough to take steps before it’s too late” – Mikaela Salazar (Vocals)

Falling Through April have come together to form a cohesive unit in a city that is rich in music history and has a thriving independent rock scene. Their energy is abundant in their live shows and in the music from their new album Zodiac, which will be released on January 19th, 2018 through Page 2 Music.
Falling Through April released first single and video “Desperate Measures” in September of 2017 and have gained significant visibility: Google Play Music’s Modern Rock radio channel and iDobi radio were early supporters and are playing the song. The video premiered @ Alternative Press and debuted @ #13 on the Youtube Alternative Hotlist playlist. The video will be featured on the Footlocker In-Store network in 1,835 stores in 23 countries starting January 1st as well as several other major brand retail outlets. “Desperate Measures” is playing in over 3800 Health Clubs worldwide, and has been added to syndicated shows like MusicMix USA and Sidewalks TV, among others.
The band’s founders (Jim Siani, Dave Piontek, Taylor Foster, Dan Candia) have weathered the full gamut of hurdles as a startup since forming in 2011, ranging from exploding transmissions and ghosting vocalists to nearby celebratory gun fire landing Taylor in the hospital. When charismatic front woman Mikaela Salazar stepped into their lives in 2016, the road blocks were removed, and everyone found something to be excited about.
The 4 founders found each other while playing in different bands that were a part of the Charlotte indie rock scene. The band members came to music naturally, as they all had musicians in their family: Dan came from a long line of international musicians, and his dad always played guitar when he was growing up. Dave started in music early, and in his early teens he became enamored of the Electric Bass and that became his instrument of choice. Jim knew by the age of 13 that he wanted to be a professional musician, inspired by acts like Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, and his favorite band Weezer. Taylor grew up watching his Dad play drums, so you could say they are in his family DNA. Mikaela grew up in a house that was never silent, and the desire to be involved in music was second nature. She was inspired to become a singer by strong female musical role models like Alanis Morissette and Gwen Stefani.
The band has 2 previous independent releases: The Take Flight album in 2012; and the Risk and Reward Ep in 2015.
In early 2017 FTA packed up and drove to Nashville, TN for a several month’s long recording binge with producer and friend Jon King (Augustana, Darling Parade). The result is their new album Zodiac, a powerful alt-rock collection that melds influences ranging from Incubus to Halsey.
The band has amassed a significant touring resume, having opened for Theory of a Deadman, The Pretty Reckless, Pop Evil, Adelitas Way, Flyleaf and more. They have also performed at major festivals including the Vans Warped Tour, SXSW, Florida Music Festival, Sonorous Music Festival, Dewey Beach Music Conference and Celebrate Fairfax. Their touring has garnered them endorsements from PRS and Reverend Guitars, among others.
FTA’s goal is to have their music reach as many people as possible around the world and for their music to inspire and encourage listeners. Becoming a household name in the modern rock community drives them forward, and “Zodiac” promises to help them achieve that goal. A second single and video will be released in early 2018.
Newly signed AK19 Entertainment artist ROB SHINER has just released his debut music video “Just Paranoid”, featuring BLACKLITE DISTRICT. The follow up to his debut release “Feels Good”, which accumulated more than 250,000 combined streams, “Just Paranoid” drops on all platforms this Friday, April 5.
It was a great opportunity to have Blacklite District featured on my new song/video ‘Just Paranoid‘, Kyle Pfeiffer is awesome to work with as a producer as well being the head of the label. . I’m currently in the studio finishing up another single which we plan to release soon, as well as the debut album dropping later this year through my new label home at AK19. – Rob Shiner
Estonian industrial rock band EVESTUS is proud to announce the video release of their TEARS FOR FEARS cover, “MAD WORLD.” Additional guitars were recorded by Matthew Setzer (Skinny Puppy, London After Midnight, Kanga etc).
Like a twisted lovechild of Trent Reznor and Al Jourgensen, producer and frontman OTT EVESTUS’ blending of bouncing rock sound with future-noir synths and distorted vocals hits you like a bag of bricks.
“I believe this song unites a lot of people who don’t fit into this world.. And a lot of these people are among our audience so it really happened quite naturally I think. At some point we just started playing it live and now finally it found a home on our latest EP, POST 18 DEPRESSION.” – Evestus
EVESTUS is both an electro-industrial rock band from Estonia, and the name of the band’s founding member and frontman.
Having toured with the likes of MINISTRY, YOUTH CODE and HOCICO, aside from numerous headlining tours, EVESTUS has already reached the fans of industrial music in Europe, Russia and UK.
Currently a four-piece, the band is hot off their recent release Post 18 Depression. Currently, the band is working on their next album with producer ADE FENTON, best known for his work on GARY NUMAN albums “Splinter”,“Savage”, etc. The new album “All Goes Black” is due to be released this autumn.
LA based Dark Synth artist THRILLSVILLE has released the debut track off of his upcoming, yet to be named album, “Second Sleep.”
“Reworking and reinterpreting a song wasn’t a stretch for me. It’s kind of like taking a theme and varying it when I’m composing for film, TV or video games. It’s fun to take the same source material and put it in a completely different musical world. I’ve always loved Stolen Babies’ version of ‘Second Sleep‘ and getting Dominique from SB to add background vocals to my version made it really special for me. It wouldn’t have been right without her. I feel like the dreamy and moody quality of the original rock version translated even better with this dark dance version.” – THRILLSVILLE
“Hot off the presses, Thrillsville has a new single called ‘Second Sleep,’ and it may be my new favorite song. Almost impossible to pigeonhole, this track is equal parts industrial tinged Stabbing Westward and Sisters of Mercy-esque Goth rock. That’s a poor attempt to categorize what Thrillsville has pulled out with this song, but wherever it’s meeting in the middle is a sonically perfect place and I want more of it. I can only hope that this is a teaser of things to come!” – Echosynthetic
Thrillsville is the industrial music/ dark wave solo project of Rani Sharone. Known for his dark cabaret band Stolen Babies, Sharone has collaborated and performed with Puscifer, Marilyn Manson, and TV/film composer Tyler Bates. A fellow in the Sundance Film Composers Lab Sharone also produced music for highly acclaimed Films/TV Shows including, Samurai Jack, Ray Donovan, American Ultra, My Entire High School Sinking Into the Sea, and more.
“Second Sleep,” the first single off Thrillsville’s upcoming album, is following his horror themed debut ep, Haunt Music, which spawned the Claymation videos for “In the Hall of the Chainsaw King,” and “Lycanthrope” as well as the 3-D animated video for “Sirens.”
“Conjuring up tantalizing and warped soundscapes…Thrillsville’s music sounds like it’s been ripped directly from a melted B-movie VHS tape. It’s ghoulish, grizzly, and just plain great” – Phoenix New Times
“A treasure of an EP … ‘Haunt Music’ is like watching a horror movie with your eyes closed. Images of Freddy Krueger, Jason, Michael Myers fill your mind as the rough guitar tones, the creepy synths, and sinister beats wash over you.” – Victim of Sound
“…manic carnival music” – The Hollywood Reporter
“Punctuated with a superb eighties influenced instrumental score from Rani Sharone, […] has an irresistible charm that sweeps over you” – Biff Bam Pop!

Miami, FL hard rock band GEARS has released the official music video for their single, “Tango Yankee” featuring Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust. Originally premiered on Tattoo.com, “Tango Yankee” was produced by Corey Lowery.
“With ‘Tango Yankee,’ we just really wanted to write something dedicated to several members of our families that have served in the Military, Law Enforcement, and First Response. We really wanted this to be special, so getting one of our favorite vocalists from one of our favorite bands was very exciting and made this track just that, special. Lajon came in and absolutely crushed the track vocally. I really love the way it turned out. Trip and LJ complimented each other so well. Put that together with Clint’s epic solo and of course, Corey at the helm, this really turned into something spectacular. I believe that the thought behind the song is something that most Americans can relate to as many of us have or have had loved ones serve. Maybe even a little something that can get us past all of our political disagreements, unify, recognize the sacrifice and just say a simple ‘Thank You’ to all those who fight for our freedom, protect us and keep us safe.” – Jimmy Wooten – GEARS
Miami based hard/heavy rock act GEARS isn’t your average start-up garage band. Despite being confronted with a near disastrous setback at the cusp of their debut, headlining tour, jarring line-up changes, and financial challenges, the band has persevered and rebuilt.
Founded in February 2014, Trip 6 (Urban Rebel), Eli Parker (Endo), Tommy Herres (SCARLET CARSON) and Jimmy Wooten (SKINMASK) were all looking for new projects as their old ones had run their course.
We all wanted to do something more modern, but still rang true to our influences. Something that we could aggressively market and tour on. So, we all met up in Miami after months of talking about doing something together and what came out was the first EP, Set in Motion.
They released Set in Motion in May 2014, immediately launching into their first headline run with support from I-Exist. Just three days into the tour, their equipment trailer disconnected, resulting in a massive, horrific accident; not only did they lose their gear, but the tour van was totaled and the band members sustained serious injury. In spite of this tremendous blow, the group endured and continued the tour without missing a beat.
Later it developed that two of the founding members were unable to continue, leaving the band reeling and having to replace them with skilled, compatible substitutes:
“I was talking with a mutual friend, Joe Taback (12 Gauge Embrace) about needing a guitar player for GEARS because we let go of Eli and he suggested Bobby Thomas. I called him and showed him the songs and he was ready to go. As far as bass, I knew Chris from when Needlemouth was a thing out in Cali and I always liked his playing and he was super laid back & cool. I knew both of these dudes were definite upgrades at their instruments and were a better fit personality wise than what we had to deal with previously.”
In June 2015, Wooten and Six teamed with Corey Lowery (Saint Asonia, Stuck Mojo, Stereomud, Dark New Day) and Troy Mclawhorn (Evanescence, Seether, Dark New Day) on their new EP Pride Comes Before the Fall, and announced the addition of new members Bobby Thomas and Chris Dorame. They hit the road for their Riser Tour, once again with I-Exist, in July, wrapping up the run in September, but kept the momentum going with the digital release and lyric video for their debut single off of Pride Comes Before the Fall, “Face Down”. The band rounded out the year with the release of their much anticipated sophomore EP on November 10th, with both headlining tours and a support slot with Trapt slated for 2017.
After a very successful tour in 2017 with Seasons After and Bridge to Grace, GEARS has released a new single and video for “KING.” Once again, joined by Corey Lowery in the studio, GEARS continues to evolve. Boasting an even heavier sound with groove and aggression, they set out for Headlining Dates as well as Support Slots with Nonpoint, Upon a Burning Body and will round out their 2018 Summer/Fall Tour Dates with the last of 3 legs with All That Remains concluding at the end of September.
After touring much of 2018 with All That Remains, GEARS has shifted focus to releasing more music. Their first 2019 offering will be “TANGO YANKEE’ which features LAJON WITHERSPOON of SEVENDUST.
We’re still moving forward and, despite everything that has been an obstacle in the short time we’ve been a band, everything still keeps growing and getting better.

New York based Heavy Rock Band BRAND OF JULEZ has released the Christian Lawrence directed official music video for their newest single, “Take It All Away.” Filmed in Staten Island, NY, “Take it All Away” was directed by Christian Lawrence
“At a time where there is so much divide in our country, I wanted to throw myself into the mix. Lies don’t ever work and thinking that the wool is being pulled over our eyes is foolish. There is a voice screaming to be heard from the new generation and ‘Take It All Away’ is this Latino from the South Bronx sharing his.” – Julez
When you think of the South Bronx, you don’t think of modern, melodic rock anthems, passionately aggressive vocals, heavy guitars, ripping solos, driving bass lines or pounding drums fills. However, that is exactly what Brand of Julez delivers night after night.
Brand of Julez was formed by brothers Julez Zamora (vocals/guitars) and Brandon Zamora (bass/backing vocals) in 2011 at the ripe old age of 16 and 13, Brand of Julez have climbed their way up the NYC ranks with a passion and fury that cannot be denied.
With the release of their debut EP in September 2012, Brand of Julez have relentlessly worked to bring their brand of heavy rock to the masses with incendiary performances at legendary venues like Webster Hall (The Studio, The Marlin Room, & The Grand Ballroom), The Gramercy Theater, The Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Irving Plaza and Starland Ballroom. Their powerful performances have brought them to share the stage with national recording artists like Buckcherry, Ace Frehley, Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising, Lynch Mob, Gemini Syndrome, Kyng, Sons of Texas, Crobot, Drowning Pool, Adrenaline Mod, Wayland, Burn Halo, Orianthi, Alice Cooper, Stitched Up Heart, Cycle of Pain, and Full Devil Jacket.
In 2016, Brand of Julez began working on recording new tracks. Working with the engineering talents of Joey Z (guitarist for Life of Agony), the mixing magic of Mike Ferretti at Architekt Music (Sevendust) and mastering perfection of Andy Van Dette at Engine Room Audio (Sevendust, Muse, Rush) led Brand of Julez to their self produce debut album FORWARD, which was officially released in June 2018.
With the addition of New Jersey’s Nick Kashmanian (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Frankie D’Esposito (drums) from Long Island, the BOJ family is complete and ready to take aim at the national spotlight. Recent US tours with Otep, Doll Skin, Bobaflex, Puddle of Mudd, and Texas Hippie Coalition have taken Brand of Julez around the country several times. A 35 date US tour in August/September of 2018 with Orgy and Motograter as well the release of a new single, will lead Brand of Julez back into the studio for their next musical offering.
Brand of Julez are ready to deliver their heavy rage of rock that will have you banging your head, with your horns raised and leave you with songs that you’ll be singing long after the show has ended.
