London punk band BROCKER has released a music video for their new single “Gimme Gimme Rock N’ Roll”. The gritty track stays true to punk ethos and hits a sweet spot for anyone who fell in love with the Tony Hawk Pro Skater soundtrack.

Milton J and The Leftovers “Killing Dreams” Official Video

Alternative Rock/Hip-Hop Quintet Milton J and The Leftovers have released the debut video for “Killing Dreams” off of their upcoming Vain Wisdom album. “Killing Dreams” combines the compositional depth of a fully rounded instrumental orchastration with sharp, provocatively subversive lyrics.

The track was an opportunity for me to express the frustration and struggle that I’ve been experiencing for the past few years. This industry is like modern day politics, so dependent on its formulaic copies of artists that have come and gone. The point of this song was to address the questions as to why business and politics have taken the ability to have a voice in our society. Its was also there to demonstrate the range of abilities our band has.Milton J

Hailing from Frederick, Maryland, Milton J and The Leftovers have created a buzz in the Mid Atlantic. Rocking the stage from NY to NC the crew has had the opportunity to share the stage with a range of major artists includingRedman, Rehab, Nappy Roots, Mayday, Ces Cru, Almost Kings, andSuper Bob. Their dedication to the music is evident as they are currently finalists for best Rap/RnB act in the Maryland Music Awards, #1 on the ReverbNation charts in their city, and have an unmistakable face in the DMV music scene.

The crew’s sound is a mixture of Alternative Rock and Hip-hop developed into it’s own consciousness. MCs such as Mike Shinoda, Slug, Immortal Technique, Nas, and Eminem, along with bands like Deftones, Incubus,Sublime, Linkin Park, and Red Hot Chili Peppers are just a few of their many musical influences.

Milton J and The Leftovers have been making their mark on the industry since 2009. Starting out as a solo artist, Milton J formed the Leftovers with drummer Garret Hall, guitarist Kristina Hong, bassist Edward Hong, and DJ Silverio Montano along the way. The group name came from an inside joke Milton J had for a b-side album called “Leftovers”, because kitchen leftovers are the best just as the leftover tracks of an artist that make a b-side record. Members of the group liked the idea so much they adopted the name for the band.

The name has evolved from a simple inside joke to a movement made strong by their supporters. Their influence has spread past the DMV as they look to take over the industry.

The Chess Moves EP is a big deal to me because I feel that I am able to finally create all the sounds that are in my thoughts at a professional level of music production. What makes this release so exciting is that this is my debut EP, and it is being released by incredible artists that inspire me. The first song on the EP is titled “Checkmate” and it carries with it a raw energy that was perfect for the music video. It is composed of breaks followed by a haunting electro house drop. The second song on the EP is titled “Cannibalistic” which was incredibly fun to record. The melody of the song I recorded on guitar, and on the hooks I created two different styles of electronic music that first made me fall in love with the genre. The third song of the EP is titled “SMILE” which is one of my favorite new tracks to play out because of the synths that were used. This song delivers a heavy punch of a TB-303 synth that I re-created in Nexus. The final song “Binary” is an incredible mid-tempo song that destroys crowds everywhere, and is a wink about what will be coming out in the future. This is Mr. Kristopher’s first chess move.Mr. Kristopher

Traces Share “Of Servility” Lyric Video

Phoenix post-hardcore band Traces has released a new lyric video for their single “Of Servility”. The title of the track is in reference to a person who is fed up with those in power. The imagery of the video is very much in line with this theme, producing images reminiscent of George Orwell’s novel, 1984.

The narrator within the song feels he is alone in how he feels and is trying to awaken those people around him who are blind to the lies and corruption he sees,” says guitarist Nick Zieser. “To him, those people are sheep or slaves, if you will, to those in power.

“Of Servility” is the second single from the band’s debut selt-titled EP. The Matt Good (From First to Last, D.R.U.G.S.) produced effort will be released on April 8th. Buy “Of Servility” on iTunes.

About Traces:
Coming out of the hardcore/metal scene of Phoenix, AZ, Traces was born from the idea of blending musical passions. While the group decided to step away from the breakdown and scream centric side of their roots, the aggression and technicality of those styles were kept in. Founded by guitarist Jon Campbell and Nick Zieser in 2015, Traces found its true musical focus with the edition of vocalist Joey Holiday.

FERO LUX Stream Sophomore LP No Rest

Politically charged mathcore band FERO LUX will release their sophomore album No Rest on March 25th, but the group is giving you chance to hear it early via SoundCloud. The south Florida quartet has also released a defiant new music video for the first single “No Insignia”.

This album most accurately represents this band in my opinion,” says guitarist David Paul. “Our politics and social issues are embodied in this album’s music and lyrics. It portrays our passion for music, compassion for the world, and disdain for oligarchy and greed.

The methodical 12 songs on No Rest blend together through extensive riffing and technical time signatures that stick to the band’s mathcore roots. “It’s far heavier, but more organized than anything we’ve put out,” says bassist Ben Perman. “We really put a lot of focus into composition. Our message is important, but the delivery had to be right.

No Rest was engineered at Iceman Studios in West Palm Beach Florida by Daniel Colombo and produced by the band themselves. Stream the full album here and pre-order your copy on Bandcamp before it comes out on Friday via Iron Young Records.

About Fero Lux:
Hailing from south Florida, one of this United States’ hotbeds of political unrest, FERO LUX strives with every show, every album, every song and every sentence to be a voice of consciousness. Often reminiscent of The Dillinger Escape Plan, Botch and Glassjaw, FERO LUX uses their unique blend of melodic hardcore and technical metal to send scathing waves of outraged fury into the heads and hearts of listeners. These ferocious riffs poised against heartfelt refrain create a frantic listening experience.

From “Blue” off their 2010 debut Vaos, that decries the horror of modern day racism, to “The Wires That Hang”, a song scheduled for release on their upcoming full-length that calls us to arms against police brutality, FERO LUX gives their fans much more than music. They give their listeners a message. We have cause for alarm. We have work to do. We have a world that desperately needs change. We are pariahs and activists. We are lonely and paranoid.
