LA Based Dark Pop artist DXRLING has released the official music video for her effervescent new single, “Summertime.” Directed by Ron Underwood and Randall Mathias, “Summertime” is off of DXRLING’s upcoming, debut EP, which was produced by Sahaj Ticotin (Motley Crue, Starset, Sevendust).
“‘Summertime’ is definitely the most light hearted song we have on the EP. It was written about having fun regardless of our ages, the state of the government/ world, our genders, our race… The last line in the chorus says “Don’t ever let them know”.. the rest of the song is basically about partying like it’s summer! In a world that’s so serious, we gotta keep it “hush hush” that we’re still having the time of our lives.” – DXRLING
New York based Heavy Alternative Rock Band N.a.s.H. has released both an official lyric and live performance video for their single, ” “D.i.t.c.h,” off of their newly released LP, Incredible Villains.
“’D.I.T.C.H.’ is sort of the most honest description of love and love’s role in a relationship, from our collected perspective. Ranging from how Incredible it can be to how damaging it can be, to how all enveloping it can be.”
“Love can take you to the highest of highs to the lowest of fucking lows, ‘D.I.T.C.H.’ Is definitely a song best served as ‘open to the listeners’ interpretation’. This was an easy selection as a second single because it also shows our range as a band…it is by far the heaviest song on Incredible Villains, and definitely explains how heavy metal and rock have played a huge role in shaping us not only as musicians and songwriters, but as people. We hope that people listen to the words and can relate it to a relationship in their lives.” – N.a.s.H.

N.A.S.H. is the type of band where all it takes is one note, one beat or one nudge from the fan next to you, a fan swaying to the band’s infectious music and charismatic live performance reminding you to forget about the day’s stress’ and to enjoy the show.
Hailing out of a small town not too far from New York City, N.A.S.H. came to fruition when a triad of brothers took their basement jam sessions to a whole new level of musicianship. At a young age – Bryan, Jim Bobbi, and Joe began their venture jamming to nostalgic hits from bands like Metallica and Pearl Jam. As they got tighter and developed their own sound, the brothers took to crafting original material that would speak to a wide audience and give them a platform to take their music to the masses.
Their music maintains a blend of hard rock adaptations that heavily incorporate crunchy guitars, epic solos, solid back beats, commanding bass lines and vocal passages that can woo even the most stubborn of music connoisseurs. N.A.S.H. is sure to captivate any fan with their catalogue of music regardless if it’s fast and loud, heavy and heart wrenching or a tune you can simply bang your head to as if you’re sitting in the back of Wayne and Garth’s blue flame-painted 76’ AMC Pacer.
As N.A.S.H. developed, they brought in the talented Dylan Johnson on lead guitars that resulted in an awesome live wall of sound and allowed fans to enjoy the music as it was recorded. The band has independently released their acclaimed debut Regain the High Ground and is currently in the works of preparing the release of their highly anticipated sophomore release titled Incredible Villains.
“Our performances are meant to bring back the age of big rock stage shows that leave your ears ringing, your neck strained, and your heart wanting more. Our fans are our friends, and they are the people we need to get our music to.”
Alternative Rock Band PLASTIC FRIENDS has released its sophomore album, The Lookout EP. The debut single , “White Mirror,” premiered on mxdwn and featured on Lightning 100, Nashville’s independent radio station.
“We decided to narrow down our new songs and release an EP,” said Will Perkins, front-man of the group, adding that while there are still elements of their first album, “Information,” they feel like this recording “also takes our sound in a direction that tries to better capture our live performance.”
When asked what inspired the name of their new release, Perkins said that this is “a dark time for truth and integrity in our society.”
“I think it’s more important than ever that we have watchdogs to hold those in power accountable for their actions,” he said. “As corruption runs rampant, we need a lookout to help hold up the lowest levels of our society, which are the ones who are suffering the most.”
The lead singer also noted that “if you couldn’t care less about our future as a human race, I guess you
could still appreciate our music.”
“Just go about your day and stare at a mirror instead of a microscope,” Perkins said. “Listen to what you
are told and don’t question anything.
“But I encourage you to think for yourself and love thy neighbor.”

Plastic Friends is a rock band that originated in Bowling Green, Ky. Members include Will Perkins (vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Long (lead guitar), Phillip Rynerson (bass) and Nate Harrison (drums).
Perkins, Long and Rynerson formed the group in 2011 and were joined by Harrison, a Nashville-based DJ/producer (Nightfrog), in 2014. After writing some new material and fine-tuning its sound by performing around the region, Plastic Friends released its first full-length album, “Information,” in 2016.
Before Harrison joined the band, Plastic Friends played with a multitude of drummers – including the late Jeremy Pryor, who passed in 2014.
“Jeremy not only taught me a lot about music, but he taught me how to speak my mind,” Perkins said. “His legacy will forever live on in our music and in the minds of those who knew him.”
Members of the band were greatly influenced by the music of Incubus, Radiohead, Third Eye Blind, Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Guns N’ Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 311, and Saves the Day.
Plastic Friends has performed across the Southeast and at several music festivals including Music Tree, The Big To Do, and Revolution 91.7’s Mayhem.
Dispositions started out in 2015 as an internet project by guitarist, Ethan Massey. Soon after finding band members, Dispositions entered the studio to record their debut EP, Dead Era, which released in January 2017.
Dispositions then began playing local shows around the Dallas/Fort Worth area. They then hit the studio in late 2017 to record with producer, Cory Brunnemann in San Antonio, TX to record two singles, one being a Linkin Park cover called “QWERTY” and the other called “Imitator,” which Dispo shot a music video for.
With the momentum of those singles Dispo started playing shows and going on runs with bands such as DevilDriver, Jinjer, Upon a Burning Body, Bury Your Dead, Drowning Pool, Attila and MANY more!
Adding a second guitarist in the mix in 2018, Dispo hit the studio again with Cory to record two more songs later that year, “Pitiful” and “For You.”
Billings, MT based, three-piece Alternative-Rock Band ALDER LIGHTS has released the official music video for their single, “Pieces.” Originally premiered on Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life, “Pieces” is the first single from the forthcoming full-length Darkest Cameo set for 11/8/19 release.
“Pieces is written from the perspective of finding love and discovering it’s not what you thought it would be. However, the sound is high energy and feels positive. We wanted to find a creative way of visualizing that contrasting vibe of trying to figure things out.” – ALDER LIGHTS

Alder Lights is an up and coming three-piece alternative-rock band. Formed in the unlikely city of Billings, Montana. Alder Lights is overflowing with creativity, intentionality, and energy.
In the early years they went through various lineup changes. According to the band, this was due to each person learning not only how to be in a band but also time management within it. Founding members Jake Goldberg (Vocals, Guitar, Keys) and Marcus Barkac (Drums) pushed forward with recording their first album. Only a few short months before release, Marcus’ brother, Kaleb Barkac (bass) joined the project. It became clear immediately this was a perfect fit.
Their debut album, Here’s To Fate, released May 7, 2016 during an album release show in their hometown. Not only was this their debut album but also their first time headlining a show. Leading up to the release, the band would create lists of people they knew from social media to message privately and ask person-by-person if they would like to purchase tickets, personally delivering tickets to people’s homes, workplace, or bars. This strategy, although tiring, paid off in a big way as they sold out the local venue. That night it became clear this project had evolved from a hobby into a passion.
Alder Lights continued playing a couple shows a year to continue building a local fanbase as well as a chance to hone in their stage presence and performance. On March 9, 2018 they released their hard hitting single, “Creatures.” This was the first song written and recorded with this lineup and signaled a change in tone for the trio. While still sounding like Alder Lights, this was a more raw and energetic sound while somehow sounding more polished and mature.
The band took the next year to begin working on their sophomore album with that new direction in mind. Still working full time jobs, this process was slower than they would have liked. However, this is a group not content with releasing mediocre or rushed content so in an age of noise and pressure to constantly release something new, the band stayed silent.
During their silence, they were anything but. In early 2019 they signed with Damon Moreno at Inner Light Agency. That March they broke their silence to play at SXSW before getting back to work on the new album. Recording began in July 2019 and wrapped up two weeks later. Leading up to their sophomore effort, Alder Lights released their first single, “Pieces”. The new album, Darkest Cameo, will release Friday November 8, 2019.
LA based groove metal artist DIVINE ERA has released the official music video for “Vanity of Vanities.” Produced and Directed by Towering House Production, “Vanity of Vanities” is off of his 2018 LP,
Scripture Codes Summon Suicidal Thoughts.
“The album ends with a more laid back vibe in ‘Vanity Of Vanities’ with it’s southern rock feel injected into it’s heavy groove and moments of thrash. It’s an almost surprising but damn near perfect way to end a killer piece of work that’s definitely going to be hitting the playlists regularly in 2018.” – The RockPit
“Vanity of vanities. All is vanity.
This song is inspired by the beginning of the “Book of Ecclesiastes.”
A chosen man has accomplished everything, yet cannot crack existence’s all-troubling riddle, leaving him empty.
‘Vanity of Vanities’ is the closing track from the latest album Scripture Codes Summon Suicidal Thoughts.”– DAISUKE WACHI

Out of the primordial soup comes A Primitive Evolution (A.P.E.). Given the gift of sentience, they are here to create a constantly evolving soundtrack to our world with their dark, alternative rock music. With its current release of full length recording “Becoming” the bands next mutation is underway. Recorded at their self-built Desolation Studios in Toronto, ON the album features collaborations with Writer / Producer Ian D’Sa (Billy Talent) and Audio Engineer Kenny Luong (Metric, Cancer Bats). In partnership with Metropolis Records, the band and label unleashed Becoming together, worldwide on October 5th. 2018. Known to be raw and visceral, with soul and beauty: A Primitive Evolution is best consumed at extremely loud volumes!
Awarded “Best Rock Band” by the 2015 Toronto Independent Music Awards, A Primitive Evolution has toured extensively, showcased at prestigious festivals CMW, NXNE & Indie Week Canada and received strong support from Canadian Music Industry stalwarts Alan Cross (CFNY 102.1 The Edge, ajournalofmusicalthings.com) and George Stroumboulopoulos (MuchMusic, CBC).
Pulling together a complex array of influences including Nine Inch Nails, Muse, The Cure, Tool, The Prodigy, Ministry, Radiohead, U2, Vivaldi, Alice in Chains, Guns N’ Roses and more, A Primitive Evolution’s rhythm-based attack blurs the lines of rock, electronica and all aspects between.
“Creation is evolution” observes A.P.E. singer Brett Carruthers, “that’s what I figure we’re trying to say with A Primitive Evolution. As evolved as we think we are as humans or animals, we are very much at the beginning of the evolution of mankind. We have so much to learn and yet so much has changed in the last hundred years. We have a long way to go as a species. We want our band to reflect that too, showing our raw emotions, doing it out of instinct and evolving naturally; not overthinking, just having some fun existing on this planet.”

“From the first time we demoed out ‘Give Me A Reason’ we knew that it was going to be a special one. The song is about an having an addiction and needing to separate yourself from that. That could be anything from drinking, drugs, gambling, video games….you name it. This is our first “lighter” single off the album so it gives everyone a taste of the variety that’s going to be on this album. There is a song on ‘Continuous’ for everyone. VERSUS ME, from Janesville, Wisconsin is a band for today’s subcultural and mainstream pop crowds alike. They have crafted a sophomore album featuring the type of crowd-ready anthems heard in stadiums on the One Direction/5 Seconds Of Summer world tour, while simultaneously harnessing the heaviness and earnest delivery found each year on the Warped Tour’s main stage and in the pages of Alternative Press, Rocksound, Kerrang!
Even as Versus Me take aim for mainstream chart success, arena headlining shows and the attention of the diehard fans who drive the underground scene, the band’s number one goal remains simple. Versus Me wants nothing less than positivity, communication and connection with their audience. They want to show that their music, and all good music, can help people with life toughest trials and hardships. Versus Me yearn to connect with every person they can, whether to talk about music, or to learn about where people are coming from and who they are.
Packing an arsenal of melodies, hooks, breakdowns, electro fueled bounce and deep grooves, Versus Me’s message of uplifting goodwill is about to make itself heard loud and proud – from the stage, from cars, speakers, headphones and anywhere possible.
