Orlando, FL based Alternative Rock Band WAKE UP HATE has released the official music video for the title track off of their debut EP, Deep Sleep.
“We started Wake Up Hate set on creating something unique and fresh for hard rock fans to listen to. We aim to push the boundaries of rock to new limits and break the monotony of rock bands trying to do what’s already been done before. 2019 will be flooded with new music. We’re just getting started.” – Jake Adkins (Vocals)
“If you like modern metal rocks with a radio-friendly sound, Wake Up Hate is for you. I hear a lot of similarities to the almighty Linkin Park. Mind you, their not ripping off the aforementioned masters of angsty metal, but they manage to challenge a lot of the same emotions and feelings throughout this EP. There’s a little bit of pop edge here and there to drop everything down a bit, only to build it back up to a frenzy with a heavy rock beat. Lyrically, Wake Up Hate seems to be more mature than many of the bands out there now and musically they’re very tight and synced on this outing. They have a very mature sound for a debut release. The band holds a lot of promise for the future with great tracks like ‘The Cycle”,’ ‘Deep Sleep.’ and ‘Love Me Like A Hurricane.’ Rock radio should take notice of these guys. Don’t be surprised if you hear these songs on your local rock station. Wake Up Hate is primed for the majors.” – XS Rock

Despite their name, ICON FOR HIRE aren’t indebted to anyone but their fans. Since forming in 2007, the duo—singer Ariel Bloomer and guitarist Shawn Jump—have amassed a legion of followers who have connected with not only the band’s genre-bending sound, but also their honesty. That soul-baring spirit and realism is at the heart of everything Icon For Hire do, and it’s front and center on their latest Billboard-charting release, YOU CAN’T KILL US…
Produced by Mike Green (Gwen Stefani, All Time Low) and funded by fans through Kickstarter on a campaign that raised $127, 200—making it one of the year’s highest-raising music campaigns—the self-released album marks a brand-new chapter for the band.
Blending hard rock, hip-hop, electronica and pop into an anthemic swirl of both melody and muscle, You Can’t KillUs isn’t only a modern sounding record—it’s awash in lyrical themes that tap into the times as well. Addiction, depression and self-worth are all topics Ariel addresses and these themes reverberate loudly in today’s tumultuous, judgment-first culture.
After all, having survived the record label system and reemerged stronger than ever, Icon For Hire are living proof that you can take control of your life—and that’s perhaps the greatest success anyone can hope to accomplish.
Canadian Alternative Rock Band AUTOPILOT has released the official music video for their single, “Undisguised.” Directed by Kevin Van Witt, “Undisguised” is off of the band’s latest album, Afterglow.
“We don’t need these walls between us!” lyrics in “Undisguised” from Autopilot, a song that bridges the feelings of the times with modern rock vibes. It’s a song that questions why do we put up walls when love is what we really want.
“After 20 consecutive shows on tour we had a few days off in NYC to shoot the video for Undisguised. Director Kevin Van Witt captured the contrast of the lyrics with empty streets in a condensed and often chaotic city.” – Autopilot

Over the last few years, Canadian alternative rock band Autopilot has become a staple in the Saskatoon indie music scene. Known for their thoughtful lyrics, powerful hooks, dynamic stage show, and obsessive hard work, they somehow seem to effortlessly walk the line between passionate art and massive appeal. Over the course of 3 full-length records, and one EP, they’ve become road warriors, touring relentlessly across Canada and the US. They’ve been praised for their tireless work ethic by publications like Canadian Musician Magazine, who called them “quite possibly one of the hardest working bands in the country.”
Autopilot’s highly anticipated new record Afterglow, their most impressive and accessible record to date, produced by legendary Saskatchewan producer, S.J. Kardash, and backed by their most ambitious marketing campaign yet, finds the band reaching for bigger sounds, bigger ideas, and much bigger audiences. The release of their new single “Undisguised” following the success of preceding singles “Living Dead” and “Weightless”, is proof positive of this growing momentum.
Marlon Harder, the driving creative force behind Autopilot, has a knack for finding beauty in simple moments, and hope in the challenges life tends to bring. Inspired by the early writing of Modest Mouse, he seemed to know very quickly what he wanted to do in life. After the release and College radio buzz of their first record Now It’s Time You Know What We’re Losing For, unexpected illness struck, effectively putting the band on the back burner for the foreseeable future. But he never quit writing. Health improved, lineups changed, and in 2013 they teamed up with S.J. Kardash for the release of Diamond Rough, a sophomore full-length forged in the fires of struggle, faith, and growing maturity. The record widely expanded their media exposure across North America; in print, online, commercial rock radio, CBC, podcasts, and through licensing placement on major US television networks.
Their 2015 release, Desert Dreams, reunited the band with Kardash, and represented a significant leap forward in both the ever expanding sound, and rapidly growing fan base the band had built strongly upon with 2013’s Diamond Rough. Along with debuting on Earshot’s Top 50 chart, Desert Dreamsreceived heavy rotation on The Verge, Sirius XM’s Iceberg Radio, and garnered the attention of New York’s prestigious CMJ; while securing the band showcases at Toronto’s CMW and Indie Week festivals, AYE Fest in Cincinnati, Fairfield Revival Festival in Minnesota, and opening doors to tour extensively in the United States.
Autopilot has always been a dedicated touring band. In support of Diamond Rough, Desert Dreams, and the 2017 release of the single “Hurricane” / “Crooked Lines“, the band spent countless months on the road touring across Canada and the United States. These tours have included stops at Jersey Shore Festival, Millennium Music Conference in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and a mainstage performance at Mesa Music Festival in Arizona supporting hard rock legends P.O.D. October 2018 marked the release of Afterglow, which chartered in the top 200 on the NACC North American College Charts as well as specialty radio in the US.
The future is truly wide open for Autopilot. Everything they’ve learned is on the table for 2019 while they continue to promote the release of Afterglow. They are casting their net wider, and going all in. Never content to sit still or play it safe, they’ve crafted a remarkable live show, and plan on spending as much time over the next year as possible, getting the new songs in front of as many new fans as they possibly can.
Lincoln, UK based Alternative Rock Band CARRY THE CROWN has released their first explosive track of 2019, “Caught in the Middle,” off of their new double single, I Know You.
“This track is about the struggle between the life you want and the one you have to live. We feel this is a mature step forward for us which shows our direction and sound perfectly. A mix of raw emotion and anthemic power.” – CARRY THE CROWN
Carry The Crown are bringing their energy driven version of modern alt rock to the forefront of the music scene across the UK. Known for their thrilling stage performances, they bring their catchy and anthemic sounds and mix them with a stage show that the crowds love.
With an exciting commercial image, the boys both look and sound the part as a major band for the future. This, mixed with exposure from the BBC Introducing platform, has led to the band being featured by Huw Stephens on his Radio 1 show.
After the success of their first EP they are back with a matured sound that perfectly brings together the melodic vocals of bands like You Me At Six and smashes them together with the bouncy guitar work of Don Broco.
The band are driven beyond belief and have achieved more in their first year than even they could have expected. After meeting in Lincoln one night and talking about their love of live music the idea for Carry The Crown was born. Since that date the fan base and support has exploded and fans are crying out for more of what CTC are creating.

“We wrote Love Me Like a Hurricane about how looking for love can be like trying to find water in a drought. The song talks about a past relationship gone wrong from the perspective of someone who wants to try to make it work again, for better or for worse. ” – Jake Adkins (Vocals)

Nashville, TN based Alternative Rock Band BORN CROOKED has released their new single, “Sugar,” off of their upcoming EP, Come On With It.
“Raw, true emotions always make a song that people can relate to. ‘Sugar’ came from Hunter finding someone who showed him what love really is and how he kept craving it. ‘Sugar’ was written while we were out on the road touring and supporting incredible artists like Kansas, Daughtry, The Record Puddle of Mud, Saving Able, to name a few. Company. Brian Craddock and Josh Paul of CO:OP Song Production helped us to bring this song to life. It is easily one of our favorite songs we have written. It just grabs you right out of the gate! ‘Sugar’ is the first single off our new EP ‘Come On With It’ recorded at The Cat Room Recording Studio and Rivergate Studios in our home town of Nashville, TN.” – BORN CROOKED
Sometimes it takes just two to rock the world.
Need proof? Listen to Born Crooked — and crank it up.
You’ve just received a potent, sonic 1-2 punch from brother-sister band, Born Crooked. The Duo pushes the boundaries of an Alternative rock sound, while keeping it personal and soulful in their writing and live show.
“Hunter’s vocals are confident, electrifying and soulful, just like his guitar playing. He cranks out fuzzy, bluesy riffs with the best of them. ARE is a thunderous beauty that lays down the boom whenever she sits at a kit.” As described by The Odyssey Magazine, captures a hint of the intensity and energy these siblings pour out into their music.
Much of this intensity stems from their love for their brother Christian, who passed away in 2013 after a lifelong battle with scoliosis, epilepsy and other painful physical disabilities. “When we’re in the green room or on the side of the stage, getting ready to walk on, we always think of him,” Hunter says. “What we do is as much for him as it is for us.”
Hunter and ARE witnessed Christian recovering from spinal surgery… “He couldn’t have any pain medication, due to allergies, and he was in immense discomfort to say the least. Christians favorite band was Led Zeppelin. Our mother started playing a DVD of Led Zeppelin Live for him. ARE and I watched as his tears dried and he was comforted by the music… it took away his pain. This moment lit a fire in us and showed us the impact music can have.”
Born Crooked’s sound is infused with a passion that’s impossible to ignore. The brother-sister Duo is not afraid to push boundaries, break the rules and incorporate new elements into their music. That passion can be heard in their latest project with Brian Craddock and Josh Paul of CO:OP Song Production. Whether it be the appetite of desire on “Sugar”, stadium chants on “May the Best Man Win”, or the torture of love on “Going Crazy” the music of Born Crooked cannot be denied.
Add to this their sibling synchronicity, their ability to feed on and amplify each other’s intensity. They’ve felt this connection from the moment they played their first local gigs through appearances abroad on several US and European tours, Born Crooked is about their bond with each other and, always, with Christian.
Born Crooked always take the stage as a two piece, a family. The duo also invite out friends to sit in on Bass and Keys during their set, allowing Hunter & ARE to flex other musical muscles to make for an impactful night of music.
They continue to honor him through charity performances at rehabilitation centers, hospitals and, Hunter notes, “anyplace where people can’t get out and hear music. We take it to them because we saw the healing effect that music had on Christian. We want to connect with everyone we can.”
And that includes their ever-widening fan base. “It’s very important for us to give audiences something positive that they’ll remember forever, something that they can look back and say, ‘That was a great night.’”
Countless great nights await all who experience Born Crooked. Their day begins now.
Alternative Rock Band ECHO 2 LOCATE has released the official music video for their single, “High.”
“Although I usually leave lyrics unexplained in an effort to keep them open to interpretation, I do provide a songs foundational meaning in order to properly visualize it through video. When it comes to our new single ‘HIGH,’ I wanted us to write something that was addictive to listen to and to create a visualization to represent what it’s like for some people, like myself, to experience manic tendencies. The song talks about how addictive and stimulating the feeling of mania can be. It also speaks about the constant battle in one’s mind that wants to engage in manic tendencies while the other side of you understands what typically comes after those manic tendencies dissipate. ( ‘Is it really so bad the manic mind that I’ve had , if it ever goes bad’) The stimulating lights throughout the video represent how fast thought processes can become when one is manic. Sometimes one can completely ignore the consequences of their own reality when being manic to the point that they may not even realize a situation they are in or the type of self destructive people they are around. (‘I don’t care about my memories, I just wanna feel so high’) This is why all of the extras are masked in the video and they can be seen almost like they are cheering me on throughout this manic episode. The importance of everybody laying down at the end is actually crucial to the representation of ‘High’ as it represents the exhaustion after mania and how mania can never last forever.(‘I don’t need the ground beneath my feet, cause I just wanna feel so high’) However, just because that’s the meaning we gave the song and the video, doesn’t mean that’s what it will be for you. That’s why we kept it simple. Our job is to create music for our fans to connect to in their own way and to make them feel or think in way that they haven’t before.” – Echo 2 Locate
For more than a decade, alt rockers Lullwater have been blazing their way to the top of the industry thanks to their gritty, Southern-infused sound and straight-up, raw performances.
Formed in 2007 in Athens, GA, the foursome was born from the indelible mark that the godfathers of grunge left on music. The convergence of this inspiration, mixed with a healthy helping of swagger, defines this critically acclaimed alternative rock band.
The group released its debut, self-titled album in 2012 to solid reviews and were immediately invited to join some of the biggest tours that same year, as well as had the single “Albatross” featured on Sirius XM Octane Radio. Since that time, Lullwater has spent the majority of their career on the road sharing the stage with such A-list acts as Candlebox, Theory of a Deadman, Flyleaf, Passafire, Amaranthe, Butcher Babies, and more. The band released their critically acclaimed sophomore album, Revival, in 2015, followed by a live EP, The Seattle Sessions, in 2017.
Voodoo, their latest effort and arguably their best work to date, was recorded at the end of 2017 in New Orleans at Marigny Studios by Swedish producer and engineer Jakob Herrmann, co-produced/engineered by Justin Davis, and mixed by Jakob Herrmann at top floor studios, is scheduled for a Winter 2018 release; this record promises an even bigger, more explosive sound that will shake you to your core.

Hollywood based Alternative Rock Band VATTICA has released the official music video for their single, “Criminal.” Directed by Prentice and filmed and edited on location in Los Angeles, CA, “Criminal” is a direct criticism of the current political turmoil in American politics.
“The word ‘Criminal’ really describes this administration perfectly”, says Alexander (vocals, guitar). “From the way they ‘won’ the election, to their active and purposeful targeting of the Latinx, BIPOC and LGBTQIA communities, to their enthusiastic and unapologetic support of blatantly racist, sexist and misogynistic rhetoric, to their ravenous erosion of any laws that restrict pollution, they are the epitome of corrupt. They are dangerous and need to all be voted out. For this video we tried to focus on the fact that this is all really happening now, this isn’t some distant historical event, and that it’s up to all of us to correct the course that these liars and thieves, these fascists, have set our country on.”
VATTICA is an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in early 2014, the band quickly built an impressive local following in Southern California, including on the infamous Sunset Strip, performing at legendary venues such as The Viper Room, The Roxy Theatre, The Echo and The Troubadour. VATTICA’s bombastic and energetic live show caught the attention of Another Century/Century Media Records, who promptly offered the band a recording contract.
VATTICA then set about refining their sound, which quickly coalesced into an arena-ready style reminiscent of alternative chart-toppers such as Muse, Starset, PVRIS, Our Lady Peace and Imagine Dragons.
Next, VATTICA entered the studio to begin recording their debut album at The Mix Room in Burbank, CA with veteran producer Ben Grosse (Breaking Benjamin, Daughtry, Filter, Red, Starset, Vertical Horizon, Third Eye Blind, Thirty Seconds To Mars).
In 2017 VATTICA finished their debut album, entitled “WE SURVIVE”. At the same time, Another Century was absorbed by Sony RED Music which ultimately resulted in VATTICA deciding to part ways with the label. VATTICA then joined forces with new management and released their first single, “Remember To Breathe”, on their own label in May 2018.
“Remember To Breathe” premiered on ALT105.3 (KITS) (and has been added to rotation on the station’s local music show SOUNDCHECK), as well as the iTunes “Alternative Music” page. It has also made it into Spotify’s “Discover Weekly” algorithm, amassing over 60k+ plays to date. The lyric video for “Remember To Breathe” received over 10k+ views on its first day and was promptly picked up by the popular YouTube channel spaceuntravel, where it has amassed over 40K views.
