Maintaining healthy relationships while being in a touring band is a struggle that many musicians can relate to and the new single “Tangerine Dreams” from The Zealots takes a closer look at those conflicts.
“‘Tangerine Dreams’ is about the duality of relationships,” says frontman Micah Martin. “They can be amazing, but there are burdens and baggage that comes along with it.“
Mastered by Cameron Mizell, the new single comes from the band’s upcoming album Only Rocks Live Forever, available June 1st.
“The title for the album comes from an old western saying ‘it’s not about how long you live, but how you live’ and that’s big for us as artists,” says Martin. “We don’t see results we would like to see sometimes or plans don’t always pan out. When you live by this motto, those things don’t matter. All that matters is how you react to them and how you decide to live your life moving forward.“
Martin’s talents are not limited to the hard rock world, as he has been the featured vocalist on many different EDM tracks, three of which have over 1 million plays on Spotify. He has a steady 165,000+ monthly listeners and has racked up millions of streams on YouTube via his collaborations. He and the rest of the band have been writing music with DJ/producer Kayzo, who featured the band on his latest massive album Overlord, and they hope to add some rock n’ roll influence to the dance culture.

The quintet will be releasing their debut full-length album Only Rocks Live Forever on June 1st and today you can hear the first single “Sledge,” a punishing yet melodic track.
“The title for the album comes from an old western saying ‘it’s not about how long you live, but how you live’ and that’s big for us as artists,” frontman Micah Martin told Idobi. “We don’t see results we would like to see sometimes or plans don’t always pan out. When you live by this motto, those things don’t matter. All that matters is how you react to them and how you decide to live your life moving forward.“
Mastered by Cameron Mizell, “Sledge” tells a dark story of betrayal and bribery. After a brief stint of infidelity, a man attempts to use money to keep his actions a secret, but it only leads to more misfortunes.

Russian metalcore outfit Forget My Silence has released a new music video for the title track off their upcoming record, Fall To Rise. The new single produced by Cameron Mizell (Sleeping With Sirens, Memphis May Fire) brings out melodic but powerful riffs and shines on a mix of soulful yet heavy vocals.
“‘Fall To Rise’ is the main song from the album. The title holds the history of my life and our band. We are all working on ourselves to get better at what we do. Not always was everything perfect, we faced many fails and hard times, but they only made us stronger and actually made us better. ‘Fall To Rise’ is story of how people who step over, will fall against those who have already fell before and learned their mistakes, and by their turn they will rise again, only stronger, and they all keep the circle of falling and rising going. This song will be kind of the beginning of new chapters in our story.” – Vocalist, Roma Sadygov
Forget My Silence is a post-hardcore/metalcore band from Saint-Petersburg, Russia formed in august 2011 by vocalist Roma Sadygov. Shortly after, the band released their first music video for the single “This is only the beginning,” which has since reached nearly five million views on Youtube. In November 2013, they released their debut EP Lifeline and toured around Russia, gaining a passionate following of fans before releasing the the single “Not Perfect” in 2014. The following year the band released “Virtual Privacy” (produced by Cameron Mizell) from their upcoming debut full-length Fall to Rise.
“This album is a half-way stop between our early ‘metal’ stuff and more nu-metal sound we’ve dug into recently,” says guitarist Elia Solonnikov. “Simple, but powerful riffs, some harsh vocals, more soulful lyrics than Roma has ever written. If you liked Forget My Silence before, you won’t be disappointed.”
Benson, AZ easycore/pop-punk band Safe, So Simple have released their sophomore EP Too Close To Closure. The record’s title reflects the band’s state of mind during its creation.
“‘Too Close To Closure’ has the work of three sound engineers and spanned 16 months to complete,” says drummer Derek Ausseresses. “Needless to say, there were times we felt as though it would never happen. Furthermore, quitting would have been easier and cheaper. Despite it all, we continued to face adversity and adopted the attitude that we were just too close to give up. We’d worked too hard and sacrificed too much. We deserved that sense of closure.“
The record was produced by Matt Good from From First to Last and Cameron Mizell (Sleeping With Sirens, Hands Like Houses, Palisides) and also features guest vocals on a track from Joseph Candelaria of Forever Came Calling. Order the album now on iTunes.
