“With ‘Tango Yankee,’ we just really wanted to write something dedicated to several members of our families that have served in the Military, Law Enforcement, and First Response. We really wanted this to be special, so getting one of our favorite vocalists from one of our favorite bands was very exciting and made this track just that, special. Lajon came in and absolutely crushed the track vocally. I really love the way it turned out. Trip and LJ complimented each other so well. Put that together with Clint’s epic solo and of course, Corey at the helm, this really turned into something spectacular. I believe that the thought behind the song is something that most Americans can relate to as many of us have or have had loved ones serve. Maybe even a little something that can get us past all of our political disagreements, unify, recognize the sacrifice and just say a simple ‘Thank You’ to all those who fight for our freedom, protect us and keep us safe.” – Jimmy Wooten – GEARS

Gears Promo Final Edits 55 1 of 1

Miami based hard/heavy rock act GEARS isn’t your average start-up garage band. Despite being confronted with a near disastrous setback at the cusp of their debut, headlining tour, jarring line-up changes, and financial challenges, the band has persevered and rebuilt.

Founded in February 2014, Trip 6 (Urban Rebel), Eli Parker (Endo), Tommy Herres (SCARLET CARSON) and Jimmy Wooten (SKINMASK) were all looking for new projects as their old ones had run their course.

We all wanted to do something more modern, but still rang true to our influences. Something that we could aggressively market and tour on. So, we all met up in Miami after months of talking about doing something together and what came out was the first EP, Set in Motion.

They released Set in Motion in May 2014, immediately launching into their first headline run with support from I-Exist. Just three days into the tour, their equipment trailer disconnected, resulting in a massive, horrific accident; not only did they lose their gear, but the tour van was totaled and the band members sustained serious injury. In spite of this tremendous blow, the group endured and continued the tour without missing a beat.

Later it developed that two of the founding members were unable to continue, leaving the band reeling and having to replace them with skilled, compatible substitutes:

“I was talking with a mutual friend, Joe Taback (12 Gauge Embrace) about needing a guitar player for GEARS because we let go of Eli and he suggested Bobby Thomas. I called him and showed him the songs and he was ready to go. As far as bass, I knew Chris from when Needlemouth was a thing out in Cali and I always liked his playing and he was super laid back & cool. I knew both of these dudes were definite upgrades at their instruments and were a better fit personality wise than what we had to deal with previously.”

In June 2015, Wooten and Six teamed with Corey Lowery (Saint Asonia, Stuck Mojo, Stereomud, Dark New Day) and Troy Mclawhorn (Evanescence, Seether, Dark New Day) on their new EP Pride Comes Before the Fall, and announced the addition of new members Bobby Thomas and Chris Dorame. They hit the road for their Riser Tour, once again with I-Exist, in July, wrapping up the run in September, but kept the momentum going with the digital release and lyric video for their debut single off of Pride Comes Before the Fall, “Face Down”. The band rounded out the year with the release of their much anticipated sophomore EP on November 10th, with both headlining tours and a support slot with Trapt slated for 2017.

After a very successful tour in 2017 with Seasons After and Bridge to Grace, GEARS has released a new single and video for “KING.” Once again, joined by Corey Lowery in the studio, GEARS continues to evolve. Boasting an even heavier sound with groove and aggression, they set out for Headlining Dates as well as Support Slots with Nonpoint, Upon a Burning Body and will round out their 2018 Summer/Fall Tour Dates with the last of 3 legs with All That Remains concluding at the end of September.

After touring much of 2018 with All That Remains, GEARS has shifted focus to releasing more music. Their first 2019 offering will be “TANGO YANKEE’ which features LAJON WITHERSPOON of SEVENDUST.

We’re still moving forward and, despite everything that has been an obstacle in the short time we’ve been a band, everything still keeps growing and getting better.

Crystal Ignite Releases Single “Everything You Break” Featuring Ben Moody

Australian rock artist Crystal Ignite has released her debut single, “Everything You Break,” featuring Ben Moody (Evanescence) off of her upcoming, as yet unnamed EP. “Everything You Break” was written by Crystal Ignite, Andrew Bojanic, and Liz Hooper and produced by Crystal Ignite and  WizardzOfOz.

This is one of the most emotional tracks I have written, it’s a tragic love song, a break up song, all about realizing that the person you loved was not who you thought they were…. Having Ben Moody feature on guitar makes this track even more special…. the breaking Evanesence album he cowrote was extremely influential on me in he was early stages of my career, and is a true honor – Crystal Ignite

To say that Crystal Ignite is excited about returning to Australia to tour would be a total understatement. Crystal is bloody ecstatic! Backed by a stellar new group, the five piece outfit are embarking on an eleven date national run of shows in support of Crystal’s powerful new single “Everything You Break.”

Best known to audiences as the dynamic and empowering frontwoman of globetrotting hard rock act Bellusira (who have sadly called it a day), Crystal Ignite has kickstarted this brand new chapter of her career by pouring her creative heart and soul into an EP’s worth of sessions in Melbourne just last month.

“Everything You Break” (ft Evanescence’s Ben Moody on guitar) is an eclectic mix of tribal drum driven alt-pop that still draws upon Crystal’s love of all things rock, while telling a tragic tale of love gone wrong with the initial deception and eventual personal redemption that encompasses it.

Crystal will also be announcing a touring line-up for her return to the US later in the year.

As a singer-songwriter with Bellusira who released two albums and toured throughout the US, Australia and New Zealand with names such as HalestormSeetherHell YeahThe Misfits, and Fly Leaf, the band also landed on major festivals with KornRob ZombieFive Finger Death Punch, and many more. Crystal’s relocation to Los Angeles also saw her work closely with co-writer Will Hunt (Evanescence) and band member Koichi Fukuda(Static-X).

Having also just secured a world-wide licensing deal with Superpop.co(Sony/ATV and Extreme Music, Crystal Ignite is set to unleash her powerhouse vocals and songs once again, showing why she’s one of the most talented women in rock today.

World Gone Release Official Video for “Feed the Machine”

Florida based Metal band World Gone has released the Official Music Video for their single, “Feed The Machine”. Self-directed and produced, “Feed The Machine” was shot in a Florida bunker.

“Feed the Machine” is a story of human enslavement and the struggle to find a way to finally be free. Afraid of death, future loss, injury, and imprisonment, the majority of humans have become easily controlled and dominated by the powerful few. The greatest resource in history has not been gold or oil, it has been the extortion of other humans. You can’t get a hen to lay more eggs by threatening it but you can get a human to give you his eggs by threatening him. Human fear farming has been the most lucrative trade of all time and even now continues to feed the evil plans for domination of the universe by the bloated, power mad, and greedy Human Coercion Machine. – World Gone

Hailing from a rusted old shed behind a trailer park on the Westside of Jacksonville, World Gone is preparing to assault your life and senses with a freak audio apocalypse like none before. Years of pent up aggression and disgust with state of our so called civilized society and clustered masses of trendy spineless media outlets have bred a wholeheartedly honest and vigorously explosive combination of volatile ingredients forming the thing know as World Gone. Your ears will be forcefully penetrated and your eyes will be ruthlessly violated by being witness to this xenomorph of maximum twisted force. Coming into existence through the wake of an unrealized dream, fueled by discontent and unwanted experiences, feelings, and thoughts, World Gone dissects and probes the depths of these shadow areas somehow trying to make something sick yet beautiful from the darkness in our lives and their current state of disrepair. World Gone has set on a journey to provoke inspired thought among the listening legions with poetry wrapped in an audial onslaught of brutality tempered with deep emotions that have been carved from the rotten flesh we call life. Singer and front man Joe Bennett is no newcomer to the shit storm known as the music business. Formerly with platinum selling artist Cold and other local Jacksonville heavy hitters like Snagglepuss and Order by Chaos, Joe has set out to make a difference not just for one group of listeners but all listeners. He has the presence, mind, and voice to delivers this post apocalyptic mutant gospel through at times terrifying and haunting orchestrations. Through years of writing and collaborating with some of the most creative minds in the industry like former and current members of Puddle of Mudd, Cold, and Evanescence, Joe has honed his craft and ability to pull at the frayed heart strings of your soul. Prepare to feel something, prepare to think, prepare to go beyond what is seen and explore the hidden dark corners of your mind. World Gone will rise to the pulpit to deliver this sermon with a dysfunctional choir to the fallen congregation. Give us your restless and shattered souls, we will give them the nourishment they seek. Sick and twisted things are happening in the underground of Florida. Come with us.

VERIDIA Release Music Video for “Still Breathing”

neutral_dsc3301-1_copyAlt-rock group VERIDIA has released a thrilling music video for their new single “Still Breathing”. The video was directed by Matt DeLisi, the director behind their previous video for “Pretty Lies” and filmed at a haunted house located in the band’s hometown of Nashville. The group is currently on tour with Evanescence and at work on an upcoming 2017 full-length.

“Still Breathing” shares the important message of dealing with fear, something frontwoman Deena Jakoub’s deals with on personal level and is portrayed in the music video.

I don’t write because I have all the answers or because I want everyone to think I’m in this really good place,” says Jakoub. “In fact, I am struggling, I am still healing, I am human. ‘Still Breathing’ was written to say, I feel you, we’re all struggling through something, and though there are some things we may solely have to endure on our own, we don’t have to process it alone.

This song was birthed out of fear and grew into an anthem of strength and conquering for me. I have a chronic illness that takes fear to the next level, and when I am over-stressed, anxiety and panic chase me down no matter how fast I run. What I’ve recently learned and keeps me going, is to actually slow down and find something to be grateful for in that day, in that moment. When I wrote this song, my gratitude was literally focused on being alive, having been given a chance to breathe another breath into the day. Sometimes all you need is a shift in perspective.

Vulnerability can be painful, but I think it’s worth it if someone else can be empowered by what you’ve endured. I share because I hope that someone finds strength through what I’ve learned in my weakness. “

“Still Breathing” will be featured on the band’s new album, which they are currently in the studio recording and planning for a 2017 release. The single can be found on both Spotify and iTunes.

“Still Breathing” is the follow-up to their most recent No. 1 single, “Pretty Lies (feat. Matty Mullins),” which was in the top spot for six straight weeks and was Veridia’s second career No. 1 single. The song spent 27 weeks on the Billboard Charts while the album, 2015’s Pretty Lies, debuted in the Top 20 on the iTunes Alternative Albums Chart.
