Orlando, FL based Alternative Rock Band WAKE UP HATE has released the official music video for the title track off of their debut EP, Deep Sleep.
“We started Wake Up Hate set on creating something unique and fresh for hard rock fans to listen to. We aim to push the boundaries of rock to new limits and break the monotony of rock bands trying to do what’s already been done before. 2019 will be flooded with new music. We’re just getting started.” – Jake Adkins (Vocals)
“If you like modern metal rocks with a radio-friendly sound, Wake Up Hate is for you. I hear a lot of similarities to the almighty Linkin Park. Mind you, their not ripping off the aforementioned masters of angsty metal, but they manage to challenge a lot of the same emotions and feelings throughout this EP. There’s a little bit of pop edge here and there to drop everything down a bit, only to build it back up to a frenzy with a heavy rock beat. Lyrically, Wake Up Hate seems to be more mature than many of the bands out there now and musically they’re very tight and synced on this outing. They have a very mature sound for a debut release. The band holds a lot of promise for the future with great tracks like ‘The Cycle”,’ ‘Deep Sleep.’ and ‘Love Me Like A Hurricane.’ Rock radio should take notice of these guys. Don’t be surprised if you hear these songs on your local rock station. Wake Up Hate is primed for the majors.” – XS Rock
Wake Up Hate is an American rock band made up of vocalist Jake Adkins, guitarist Matt Browning and drummer Triston Blaize. From heavy riffs to ambient cleans, they are pushing the boundaries of today’s rock music and creating something new for listeners worldwide. Their debut single “The Cycle” is taking the rock world by storm with over 60,000 streams since it’s release in late December, 2018. The band has just finished their debut EPDeep Sleep which is set to release May 17th of this year.
Releasing hit after hit, month after month, Wake Up Hate is proving to be the rock band you want to watch in 2019.

Miami, FL hard rock band GEARS has released the official music video for their single, “Tango Yankee” featuring Lajon Witherspoon of Sevendust. Originally premiered on Tattoo.com, “Tango Yankee” was produced by Corey Lowery.
“With ‘Tango Yankee,’ we just really wanted to write something dedicated to several members of our families that have served in the Military, Law Enforcement, and First Response. We really wanted this to be special, so getting one of our favorite vocalists from one of our favorite bands was very exciting and made this track just that, special. Lajon came in and absolutely crushed the track vocally. I really love the way it turned out. Trip and LJ complimented each other so well. Put that together with Clint’s epic solo and of course, Corey at the helm, this really turned into something spectacular. I believe that the thought behind the song is something that most Americans can relate to as many of us have or have had loved ones serve. Maybe even a little something that can get us past all of our political disagreements, unify, recognize the sacrifice and just say a simple ‘Thank You’ to all those who fight for our freedom, protect us and keep us safe.” – Jimmy Wooten – GEARS
Miami based hard/heavy rock act GEARS isn’t your average start-up garage band. Despite being confronted with a near disastrous setback at the cusp of their debut, headlining tour, jarring line-up changes, and financial challenges, the band has persevered and rebuilt.
Founded in February 2014, Trip 6 (Urban Rebel), Eli Parker (Endo), Tommy Herres (SCARLET CARSON) and Jimmy Wooten (SKINMASK) were all looking for new projects as their old ones had run their course.
We all wanted to do something more modern, but still rang true to our influences. Something that we could aggressively market and tour on. So, we all met up in Miami after months of talking about doing something together and what came out was the first EP, Set in Motion.
They released Set in Motion in May 2014, immediately launching into their first headline run with support from I-Exist. Just three days into the tour, their equipment trailer disconnected, resulting in a massive, horrific accident; not only did they lose their gear, but the tour van was totaled and the band members sustained serious injury. In spite of this tremendous blow, the group endured and continued the tour without missing a beat.
Later it developed that two of the founding members were unable to continue, leaving the band reeling and having to replace them with skilled, compatible substitutes:
“I was talking with a mutual friend, Joe Taback (12 Gauge Embrace) about needing a guitar player for GEARS because we let go of Eli and he suggested Bobby Thomas. I called him and showed him the songs and he was ready to go. As far as bass, I knew Chris from when Needlemouth was a thing out in Cali and I always liked his playing and he was super laid back & cool. I knew both of these dudes were definite upgrades at their instruments and were a better fit personality wise than what we had to deal with previously.”
In June 2015, Wooten and Six teamed with Corey Lowery (Saint Asonia, Stuck Mojo, Stereomud, Dark New Day) and Troy Mclawhorn (Evanescence, Seether, Dark New Day) on their new EP Pride Comes Before the Fall, and announced the addition of new members Bobby Thomas and Chris Dorame. They hit the road for their Riser Tour, once again with I-Exist, in July, wrapping up the run in September, but kept the momentum going with the digital release and lyric video for their debut single off of Pride Comes Before the Fall, “Face Down”. The band rounded out the year with the release of their much anticipated sophomore EP on November 10th, with both headlining tours and a support slot with Trapt slated for 2017.
After a very successful tour in 2017 with Seasons After and Bridge to Grace, GEARS has released a new single and video for “KING.” Once again, joined by Corey Lowery in the studio, GEARS continues to evolve. Boasting an even heavier sound with groove and aggression, they set out for Headlining Dates as well as Support Slots with Nonpoint, Upon a Burning Body and will round out their 2018 Summer/Fall Tour Dates with the last of 3 legs with All That Remains concluding at the end of September.
After touring much of 2018 with All That Remains, GEARS has shifted focus to releasing more music. Their first 2019 offering will be “TANGO YANKEE’ which features LAJON WITHERSPOON of SEVENDUST.
We’re still moving forward and, despite everything that has been an obstacle in the short time we’ve been a band, everything still keeps growing and getting better.
New York based Heavy Rock Band BRAND OF JULEZ has released the Christian Lawrence directed official music video for their newest single, “Take It All Away.” Filmed in Staten Island, NY, “Take it All Away” was directed by Christian Lawrence
“At a time where there is so much divide in our country, I wanted to throw myself into the mix. Lies don’t ever work and thinking that the wool is being pulled over our eyes is foolish. There is a voice screaming to be heard from the new generation and ‘Take It All Away’ is this Latino from the South Bronx sharing his.” – Julez
When you think of the South Bronx, you don’t think of modern, melodic rock anthems, passionately aggressive vocals, heavy guitars, ripping solos, driving bass lines or pounding drums fills. However, that is exactly what Brand of Julez delivers night after night.
Brand of Julez was formed by brothers Julez Zamora (vocals/guitars) and Brandon Zamora (bass/backing vocals) in 2011 at the ripe old age of 16 and 13, Brand of Julez have climbed their way up the NYC ranks with a passion and fury that cannot be denied.
With the release of their debut EP in September 2012, Brand of Julez have relentlessly worked to bring their brand of heavy rock to the masses with incendiary performances at legendary venues like Webster Hall (The Studio, The Marlin Room, & The Grand Ballroom), The Gramercy Theater, The Bowery Ballroom, Mercury Lounge, Irving Plaza and Starland Ballroom. Their powerful performances have brought them to share the stage with national recording artists like Buckcherry, Ace Frehley, Pop Evil, Red Sun Rising, Lynch Mob, Gemini Syndrome, Kyng, Sons of Texas, Crobot, Drowning Pool, Adrenaline Mod, Wayland, Burn Halo, Orianthi, Alice Cooper, Stitched Up Heart, Cycle of Pain, and Full Devil Jacket.
In 2016, Brand of Julez began working on recording new tracks. Working with the engineering talents of Joey Z (guitarist for Life of Agony), the mixing magic of Mike Ferretti at Architekt Music (Sevendust) and mastering perfection of Andy Van Dette at Engine Room Audio (Sevendust, Muse, Rush) led Brand of Julez to their self produce debut album FORWARD, which was officially released in June 2018.
With the addition of New Jersey’s Nick Kashmanian (lead guitar/backing vocals) and Frankie D’Esposito (drums) from Long Island, the BOJ family is complete and ready to take aim at the national spotlight. Recent US tours with Otep, Doll Skin, Bobaflex, Puddle of Mudd, and Texas Hippie Coalition have taken Brand of Julez around the country several times. A 35 date US tour in August/September of 2018 with Orgy and Motograter as well the release of a new single, will lead Brand of Julez back into the studio for their next musical offering.
Brand of Julez are ready to deliver their heavy rage of rock that will have you banging your head, with your horns raised and leave you with songs that you’ll be singing long after the show has ended.
Heavy Rock / Blues Artist Mark C. Daniel has released the official music video for his new single, “Gasoline Fire.”
“Gasoline Fire,” is desire personified as a force of nature. It’s the unstoppable need for fulfillment both mental & sexual and the unguided feelings that form from it’s ideation. – Mark (Vocal, Guitar & Songwriter)
“The laid back Connecticut native comes across as a relaxed, really dedicated guy that just lives for his music. His sound is what you would expect if Jon Spencer and Led Zeppelin had a baby that went to high school with Neil Young and Stone Temple Pilots.” – DO512 Austin, TX
Mark spent several years touring and has supported: Buckcherry, Disturbed, Steve Vai, former members of Pearl Jam & Blind Melon, Living Colour, Everclear, Vertical Horizon, King’s X, Cowboy Mouth, Eric Gales, Corrosion of Conformity & Bret Michaels.

Quad Cities heavy rock band 3 Years Hollow has released the official lyric video for their newest single, “You and I.”
“For us, ‘You and I’ was more or less a Thank You to our fans that have supported us over the years. This band has a new attitude and our past experiences have become the writing fuel for a new album that will break all the previous molds of what 3YH was. The break we took the last few years was much needed but we’re incredibly excited to be writing together again.” – Jose Urquiza (Vocals)
3 Years Hollow is a 5-piece band from the Quad Cities, a group of cities located along the Mississippi River in Iowa and Illinois. Jose Urquiza [vocals], Tony Reeves [guitar], Neil Kuhlman [guitar], Dex Digga [bass], and Chris Cushman [drums]—dispense honest hard rock that’s equally hypnotic and heavy.
Over the past decade, the group has solidified itself as one of the Midwest’s most incendiary and infectious young acts. Their breakout independent single “Remember” charted at #1 on Octane, while “Chemical Ride” is closing in on 1 million YouTube views. In 2012, they emerged as regional victors during the Ernie Ball-sponsored Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival “Battle of the Bands”.
Playing the Tinley Park, IL date of UPROAR, they caught the attention of Imagen Records who proceeded to offer them a deal soon after. Now, with production by none other than Clint Lowery of Sevendust, their latest album bristles with irresistible intensity and magnetic melodies.
Becoming a local stalwart, 3 Years Hollow shared the stage with everybody from Papa Roach to Buckcherry, and they’ve siphoned their live energy into a kinetic anthems.
About the sound, Jose explains, “We want to play melodic hard rock. That’s the music that brought us together. At the same time, we all have drastically different influences from progressive rock to hair metal to pop punk. All of these other influences will begin to shine through as our albums progress hopefully.”
That cohesion comes across on the likes of “For Life”. Coupling a fret-burning solo and chorus from Lowery with Jose’s dynamic delivery, it practically explodes on impact.
“It’s about a person who is struggling and has fallen away from the world alone,” says the vocalist. “You can see the damage and the demons the person deals with on a daily basis. However, all of a sudden, there is hope instead of despair. The final message is to pull away from the demons, stand strong against them, and keep them out for the rest of your life. It was such an honor to bring that track to life with Clint.”
Then, there’s “Hungry”, which bares its teeth via a bombastic beat and arena-size hook. It taps into their on-stage intensity. “We wrote that in the jam space,” recalls Jose. “We want people to get close to the music. We give everything we can so fans forget about everything else.”
3 Years Hollow supported The Cracks with three (3) singles, all which cracked the Active Rock Top 40 chart and the Billboard Mainstream Rock Top 40 chart.
Ultimately, 3 Years Hollow constantly keeps the listeners in mind with that honesty. “Everything I write about is a completely personal experience or something I’ve witnessed or experienced myself,” he concludes. “I want to give everybody something real.”
Dallas, TX based Nu-Metal Band Phoenix Risinghas released the Official Music Video for their newest single “Lights Out,” off of their upcoming debut LP, From the Ashes. A love letter to UFC and ESports, this high energy music video follows a day in the life of an MMA fighter and ESports Street Fighter 5 gamer as they get ready for their respective tournament matches.
“The newest single from PHOENIX RISING, “LIGHTS OUT” is one of the most aggressive songs in our repertoire. This is an anthem for those people who are constantly getting kicked down by life and the ongoing struggles that never seem to cease. We will never be beaten! ‘You think its an easy win, I am a phoenix and I just rise again.’
For the video, we decided to make it a love letter to UFC and Esports since everyone in the band enjoys MMA matches and competitive video games. We wanted a high energy music video that shows a day in the life of a MMA fighter and Esports Street Fighter 5 gamer in parallel as they get ready for their respective tournament matches.
The two fighters awaken with purpose and the video instantly delves into their day. The fighters train, practice combinations, and go to the tournament all culminating in the final knockout against their nemesis.
The video showcases PHOENIX RISING not only performing in the octagon ring, we wanted each member to have a cameo in the video as well!
‘LIGHTS OUT’ has a ton of attitude and is built to get the blood pumping with driving beats combined with aggressive riffs. With lyrics like “Step inside the ring I’m ready to go”, we wanted “LIGHTS OUT” to give you the motivational energy to get up and fight for what you want out of life.” – Phoenix Rising
PHOENIX RISING, based out of Dallas, Texas, came together in 2017 in the most unlikely of places: a Craigslist ad posted by Vocalist Kent Summerour in search of like-minded musicians who not only wanted to make music with substance, but who wanted to create a live spectacle like nothing else in the local music scene. After a short search and a lot of luck, the ad was answered by five seasoned musicians one of whom was Australian. Comprised of a second vocalist, guitar, synth and a whole lot of rhythm, PHOENIX RISING was born.
Like setting fire to gas, the newly formed group had written an album’s worth of material in one month, and the search for producers began. This search led PHOENIX RISING to Tyler Smyth; however Smyth was on tour six hours away in San Antonio . With no way to get in touch with Smyth, Kent went down to San Antonio with a pillow and a sleeping bag, on a mission to maneuver himself back stage, and persuade Smyth to listen to the demos, hoping that after hearing the music, Smyth would be driven to work with the band. Mission Complete, Smyth agreed to work with PHOENIX RISING in LA and shortly thereafter, the band flew out to record their debut album From the Ashes.
With the Album complete, supported by several Music Video’s – PHOENIX RISING now look forward to drawing emotion from the listener and inspire fans with their powerful stage show. The music has a very “overcoming” quality to it. Musically and lyrically, PHOENIX RISING wants you to stand up for what you believe in and overcome any and all adversity that blocks your path.
