Southern California based Rock band JOYOUS WOLF has released the official music video for their cover of the Mountain classic “Mississippi Queen.” Originally premiered on Loudwire, “Mississippi Queen” was produced by Chris Acosta and directed by Tim Oakley in Los Angeles.
Produced by Grammy award winning producer Howard Benson, Mississippi Queen,” along with the original single “Slow Hand,” are the first tracks released by the band on Roadrunner Records.
Joyous Wolf is a Rock band from Southern California formed in 2014 by vocalist Nick Reese, guitarist Blake Allard, bassist Greg Braccio, and drummer Robert Sodaro. Reese and Sodaro met on their first day of 6th grade during student orientation. They went to different high schools where Sodaro would go on to befriend Braccio. During that time Reese, by chance, met Allard in the acoustic room at Guitar Center where they would jam CCR’s “Born on the Bayou”. There was an immediate dynamic between the two that ultimately led to an exchange of information. Months later Reese reached out to both Sodaro and Allard with the interest of starting a new project with them. Braccio would soon follow suit.
In the waning months of 2014 early jam sessions would yield the foundation of what Joyous Wolf has become. Fusing together influences ranging from Heavy Metal to Delta Blues, Joyous Wolf creates an expressive, high-energy fingerprint that separates themselves from their contemporaries in the realm of Modern Rock.
Athens, GA based alternative rock band LULLWATER has released the official music video for their cover of PEARL JAM’s “Release,” off of the 1991 hit album TEN. Originally premiered on Loudwire, “Release” features live Footage with Dave Krusen (Pearl Jam, Candlebox) and Kevin Martin (Candlebox), and was recorded at London Bridge Studios in Seattle, WA, where TEN was originally recorded, with engineering and mixing by Justin Davis.
“The entire experience of recording Pearl Jam’s ‘Release’ in London Bridge Studios was so surreal. Pearl Jam is one of my favorite bands and to cover that song in the same room as they did, was very emotional for me. I had no idea that a couple of years later we would be performing it live with Dave Krusen and Kevin Martin on the Candlebox tour; it’s such an odd and incredible feeling of living and experiencing the moments we’ve made because of ‘Release.’ It’s by far the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me as a musician. Thinking back to when I was in my adolescent years playing that song over and over and then one day to be performing it live with the original drummer, is simply crazy for me. ‘Release’ has a special place in my heart and is one of my favorite songs to play live.” – John Strickland (Vocals/Guitar)
For more than a decade, alt rockers Lullwater have been blazing their way to the top of the industry thanks to their gritty, Southern-infused sound and straight-up, raw performances.
Formed in 2007 in Athens, GA, the foursome was born from the indelible mark that the godfathers of grunge left on music. The convergence of this inspiration, mixed with a healthy helping of swagger, defines this critically acclaimed alternative rock band.
The group released its debut, self-titled album in 2012 to solid reviews and were immediately invited to join some of the biggest tours that same year, as well as had the single “Albatross” featured on Sirius XM Octane Radio. Since that time, Lullwater has spent the majority of their career on the road sharing the stage with such A-list acts as Candlebox, Theory of a Deadman, Flyleaf, Passafire, Amaranthe, Butcher Babies, and more. The band released their critically acclaimed sophomore album, Revival, in 2015, followed by a live EP, The Seattle Sessions, in 2017.
Voodoo, their latest effort and arguably their best work to date, was recorded at the end of 2017 in New Orleans at Marigny Studios by Swedish producer and engineer Jakob Herrmann, co-produced/engineered by Justin Davis, and mixed by Jakob Herrmann at top floor studios, is scheduled for a Winter 2018 release; this record promises an even bigger, more explosive sound that will shake you to your core.

LOUDWIRE has announced the launch of what is expected to be among the biggest shows of the 2018 Summer tour season, GEN-X SUMMER With BUCKCHERRY, P.O.D., LIT, & ALIEN ANT FARM!
“Loudwire is proud to present the inaugural Gen-X Summer Tour with the always rocking Buckcherry, P.O.D., Lit and Alien Ant Farm. Excited for this to destroy a town near you!” – Josh Bernstein (Loudwire)
Generation X is known as being the generation of slackers, cynical and disaffected, but they’re also the MTV Generation, and they demand excellence in their music. As the traditional industry has deconstructed, fame increasingly narrowed to a small minority of bands, this generation of fans have continued to support and eagerly anticipate the raw, unfiltered experience of their rock Gods. Now, as a new rock music culture emerges, one defined by fans and artists rather than labels and MTV, LOUDWIRE’s GEN-X SUMMER WITH BUCKCHERRY, P.O.D., LIT and ALIEN ANT FARM is set to remind us that rock never died.
“You’re gonna get your money’s worth on this one, the Gen X Summer tour is gonna be one to remember for sure. I love these bands. We all came out around the same time exploding onto the scene with great summertime hits and an awesome live show get your tickets now at genxsummer.com and let’s get wild and loose!” – Josh Todd (Buckcherry)
Anaheim based Buckcherry burst onto the scene in 1999 with their now classic, self-titled debut album quickly skyrocketing them into the ranks of top modern rock bands. Hit singles “Lit Up”, “For the Movies”, “Dead Again”, and “Check Your Head” brought the celebration back to the party scene, recalling the gritty glam impact of Mötley Crüe but with a Gen X demanded, modern self awareness . Later albums continued to develop their reputation for volatile, mercurial themes and infectious hooks; such singles as “Crazy Bitch,” “Everything,” “Too Drunk,” and “All Night Long” became screaming choruses for fans across the world. With their irreverent and bawdy lyrics, delivered with frontman Josh Todd’s whisky weathered vocals, paired with filthy guitar riffs and high energy, throbbing bass lines, Buckcherry has sustained a hard earned reputation for being the very definition of Rock Stars through 7 hot selling full length albums and an EP, as well as maintaining a not-to-be-missed live presence with regular touring schedules alongside such fellow legends as Mötley Crüe and Papa Roach. Buckcherry’s current line up includes front-man Todd along with Stevie D. (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Kelly LeMieux on bass, Kevin Roentgen (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Sean Winchester(Drums).”
“This is the good vibes, Rock & Roll tour of the summer. A bunch of friends hitting the road together and playing music we love for more friends across the states.” – Sonny (P.O.D.)
P.O.D. (Payable on Death) emerged from the San Diego metal scene in 1992, and their massive fan following quickly found them signed and releasing their top selling album, The Fundamental Elements of Southtown. The singles “Southtown,” “Rock the Party (Off the Hook),” and “School of Hard Knocks” became instant radio and MTV hits, which was followed by the RIAA-certified triple platinum album, Satellite. The lead single off of Satellite, Grammy nominated “Alive,” is recognized as a modern rock classic both for the raw talent and uplifting message. P.O.D. has continued to produce top quality metal music over the past 2 decades, seamlessly infusing dark, melodic metal with uplifting inspiration and hope. They’ve maintained a touring presence throughout, whether headlining their own or performing alongside Alter Bridge, Disturbed, In This Moment, Rammstein, The Offspring, and Godsmack. P.O.D.’s current line up is Sonny Sandoval (Lead Vocals), Marcos Curiel(Lead Guitar, Programming, Backing Vocals), Traa Daniels (Bass, Backing Vocals), and Wuv Bernardo (Drums, Rhythm Guitar, Backing Vocals).
“We’re super excited to tour with our long time friends and colleagues of 20+ years this summer. It’s going to be a real hoot, to say the least!” – Kevin Baldes (Lit – Bass)
Fullerton, CA’s Lit came together in the late 80s and shot to stardom with the release of their Billboard topping second album, A Place in the Sun, via RCAin 1998. The first single, Billboard Music award winning “My Own Worst Enemy,” became one of the biggest hits of the year. The following singles, “Zip-Lock” (featuring Blink-182 in the video) and “Miserable” (featuring Pamela Anderson in the video), both also shot up the charts, driving the album to go platinum in the US. Despite the shocking loss of drummer Allen Shellenberger, Lit continued to develop a devoted fan following as they progressively evolved their sound from pop punk to a more country influence. Lit has maintained a constant festival and touring presence, including Warped Rewind At Sea, Rockfest, Download Festival, and Driftwood Festival. The band is currently A.Jay Popoff (Vocals), Jeremy Popoff (Guitar), Kevin Baldes (Bass), and Terry Sterling (Drums).
“Summer 2018 Loudwire Gen X Tour is gonna be one for the books!! All Cali bands, all old buddies from the office, who could ask for more right?? Except maybe a few thousand American rock and roll fans cruising out to the show to party and receive what we deliver.” – Terry Corso (Alien Ant Farm)
Since the formation of Riverside, CA’s Alien Ant Farm in 1995, the quartet has enjoyed worldwide success. Over the course of their four studio albums, cumulative sales surpass five million units a Grammy nomination and 4 top 10 singles. The band built a massive following on the road early in their career via high profile 2001 runs with Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Warped, and as the headliner on an MTV presented Fall Tour. In 2002, fame spread across the world, bringing Alien Ant Farm to the major European festivals, Australia’s Big Day Out and a headline run in Japan. The following year they returned to Europe with Metallica, and to this day the band has steadily delivered audiences in territories across the globe. Idaho Rock Band Silent Theory has released the Official Music Video for the single “Watch Me Burn,” the second single off of their 2016, full length release, Delusions. Originally revealed on Loudwire’s Wire-to-Wire, “Watch Me Burn” was directed by Jon Kuritz in Moscow, ID, utilizing 5 projectors and all white costuming to screen footage of mostly news channels.
Given the state of the world right now, with the natural disasters and political turmoil, we opted for a video that mirrored the current state, though we’d never consider ourselves a political band. While we want people to interpret our song and video for themselves, it was written and directed with the premise in mind that we are all in this together, and that music can be what binds us all together. – Silent Theory
Upstart Idaho rockers Silent Theory emerge from the smoke and embers with their rocking new video for “Watch Me Burn.” The radio-ready rocker balances between tender piano moments and more aggressive jutting rock guitars. – Loudwire

In a society where new bands pop up every day, Silent Theory is here to set a new standard. Silent Theory was created in 2010 by brothers Mitch, Scott, and George Swanger and family friend Robert James. In 2014, Dakota Elliot Tyler joined to front the band. The Swanger brothers are from the Moscow, Idaho area, where they grew up playing music together. Dakota and Robert are from the western Washington area, where they grew up doing the same.
Lead singer Dakota says the guys are “like family” and they’ve made a great bond. Despite a portion of the group being brothers, they say it really makes the creativity flow having band members who aren’t related. From the beginning, the band has wanted to make music people can relate to. They want their fans to love their songs even more, every time they hear them.
The group started their journey playing small local shows to get their name out and their music heard. The band gained popularity and started playing bigger shows in the Seattle/Tacoma area, Spokane, Washington, and Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho. The band also got the opportunity for a much bigger show, the South-By-Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas where they played with bands like Metallica, Shiny Toy Guns, The Proclaimers and more. 2010 was a year of achievements for the band. The group made an appearance on MTV Cribs, where they performed their single “Livin’ the Dream,” headlined the world famous “Whisky A Go-Go” in Los Angeles, California, and signed their first record deal with Turkey Vulture Records. By June 2011, the band was headed to Rockford, Illinois to record their full-length debut album, Black Tie Affair, which was released in October of 2011. In celebration of their album release, the band played their first ever sold out show in the history of the BellTower Concert House in Pullman, Washington. After the release of Black Tie Affair the band toured the nation in the summer of 2012 to promote the album and the single, “Livin’ the Dream” which was made available on the video game Rock Band. Recently, Silent Theory released several new songs including; “Outta My Head” in 2013, and their most recent single and music video, “Fragile Minds.” Their sophomore album, Delusions was released September 10th, 2016 and they toured Spring 2017 in support of the album.
Through the years, Silent Theory has always had one constant goal in mind: To always be striving to better themselves. Despite challenges along the way, the band says “playing together has always kept us motivated; we’re all up there because we love it.” The band has plenty on their plate in the upcoming months and they’re ready to see what the future holds.
