With members from all over the western hemisphere all crossing paths at the right moments, there was no mistake that TOARN was meant for great things. Justin Wanless (Guitar) and Michael Roberts (Lead Vocals) often spoke of similar taste in heavy music, but they decided to set out and create their own noise for the world to hear. Taylor Cort (Drummer), Kyle Nortan (Guitar) and James Kolstedt (Bass Guitar) completed the lineup.
With influences of post-hardcore and metalcore, TOARN began writing their fast-paced chaotic riffs that early fans started to take notice. As time went on, influences evolved as did the band. Though holding onto the many past influences, TOARN has taken notes from the eerie, doomy, slam music alongside technical riffs and ambient overlays with the end goal being a communication of deep feelings of darkness, despair, depression and in the end a way out towards salvation.
Make no mistake, TOARN band is here on business. They believe in what they do and continually push the boundaries! They say that the fans are
what fuels this relentless drive and ferocity! The band consists of seasoned musicians with the kind of die-hard work ethic that has gained them the reputation of a must-see live act! The band has both shared the stage with touring nationals and has toured the country extensively as well. Catch Toarn live and discover what the others already know!
York, PA heavy rock band Small Town Titans has released the Official Music Video for their heartrending single, “Dragonfly.” Originally premiered on Loudwire, “Dragonfly” is vocalist Phil Freeman’scelebration and memorial of his mother’s life and tragic passing.
“This song was written for my mother. She passed away in February of 2017 after a three-year battle with cancer. She loved dragonflies which happen to have deep spiritual significance in many traditions and cultures, representing love, freedom of spirit and compassion. She embodied all of these qualities…The intent of this song is to celebrate her life and bring a little light and love to anyone who may be dealing with the grief of losing someone to illness. She was and is an amazing soul, and I hope this song captures a tiny glimmer of her spirit for the person listening to it.” – Phil Freeman
The Small Town Titans are a power trio from York, PA who love to constantly create, as well as play live. Gone is the notion that a rock band should only release 10 songs at a time every 2 years. In a world where music fans crave new content constantly, the Small Town Titans aim to deliver their brand of art all of the time, drawing inspiration from a new wave of rock bands such as Highly Suspect and Royal Blood, and rock legends such as the Foo Fighters, Audioslave, and Deep Purple. Thanks to their efforts at assembling their own studio in a basement, STT can create and release songs, podcasts, live online concerts, and more with no rules. This artistic change in attitude stems from touring for the better part of 2 years, and realizing how difficult it really is.
After coming home from their last 30 day run, the band had made $4,000. After repairing their vehicle, restocking their merchandise and more, the band was left with $1,000. After putting most of that back into the band’s funds as usual, each member took home $150. This startling reality made STT take a step back and evaluate themselves as a band, a brand, and a business. After firing their manager, the boys soldiered on with the help of their team at Round 2 Records. They began to truly treat Small Town Titans as a legitimate small business more than ever before. Unnecessary expenses were cut, and more creative and innovative sources of new revenue were explored, such as utilizing the direct to fan creation platform Patreon, where the band is currently making $200 every time they release a new song on YouTube.
Instead of trying to make a million fans, STT is focusing on the fans they already have. With a love for playing live, a Small Town Titans show has evolved into more than a concert. It’s an event, with a set list that’s decided right before the show, and plenty of stage banter in between songs. The band simply hits the stage to deliver an energy driven show using guitars, drums, and their voices. Nothing more, nothing less. This approach to their live performances has led to them sharing the stage with acts such as Highly Suspect, Papa Roach, Black Stone Cherry, Pop Evil, and more.
By focusing on their engagement with social media and managing themselves, Small Town Titans are growing like never before and having more success as a business and a brand. The band just wrapped up a weekend long recording session at Hybrid Studios with friend Kevin Soffera, drummer for Seether on the 5x platinum selling record Disclaimer II, and who STT also recorded their last album Reflection with. Six brand new songs were recorded live in the studio, as well as professionally filmed by Springwood Productions at the same time. These new songs and videos will be released throughout the rest of 2017 and 2018. Songs range from the hard hitting “Me, Myself, and Monster” and “Wreck” to the ballad “Dragonfly”, an emotional song written in memory of Phil’s mother, who passed away earlier this year due to cancer, performed live with just one voice and an acoustic guitar.
Small Town Titans are actively forming a team of like minded individuals in the new music business who are just as driven and passionate as they are, rather than waiting to be discovered. As the band continues to grow their fan base online this year, they will also hit the road, this time with a smarter game plan, a stronger fan base, and a passionate team behind them. Enigmatic, Psychedelic Rockers KARABAS BARABAShave released their much anticipated sophomore LP, Sex with the Devil. As with previous releases, the threesome’s focus continues to be on creating unique and unusual music, with a pointedly political message. The newest single, “Alcohol,” premiered with Tattoo.com.
“As the cheese doodle and cheat throws tiny Tim’s crutch into the fire to satisfy the will of the dark lord, Satan’s radioactive spawn is buried deep within the cooshie tooshie of the great Russian Czar by none other than the great beast himself Alex Jones.” – Karabas Barabas

Blacklite District follows no rules. With sounds of everything from electronic, EDM and hip hop, to hard rock and alternative, the band truly stands out from the pack of what has becomes today’s generic sounding “Active Rock”. Formed in 2012 by Kyle Pfeiffer and Roman James, ages 12 and 11 respectively, the band grew organically in their local music scene through the years to come. In 2011, BLD was discovered by Grammy Award-winning producer, Stephen Short (Paul McCartney, Queen), which resulted in a 10 day recording session at the world’s largest residential recording studio, Sonic Ranch, just outside of Mexico in Tonillo, TX. The group re-located to Los Angeles and played some of the most famous venues in the world for the remainder of 2011.
In 2013, the group released “With Me Now” as the lead from it’s debut album Worldwide Controversy. “With Me Now” immediately went to #1 on SiriusXM channels Octane and Faction, hit the Top 40 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart (#32), and sold 100,000 copies. BLD went on a very successful US tour with Saving Abel in Jan-Apr 2014, with 26 of those shows SOLD OUT. After a legal battle with their management and record label, Blacklite District went on hiatus in late 2014.
On August 23, “The Struggle” was release to radio and To Whom It May Concern went for pre-order at digital retailers. Revolver Magazine premiered the music video for “The Struggle” on August 25. The band also announced a 41 date tour called “The Struggle Is Real Tour”. Blacklite District released a Nightcore remix of “The Struggle” to YouTube on September 6, which got over 2,000,000 plays and resulted in the single breaking the Top 40 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Indicator chart at #36.
One month later, on October 6, the group released a Nightcore remix of “We Are The Danger” which got over 400,000 plays on YouTube. A couple of weeks later, the band released “Broken Souls” to radio, as well as a Nightcore remix which resulted in 500,000 plays and hitting #30 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Indicator. This was the second song in the month of October to break the Top 40 (along with “The Struggle.”)
“The Ghost of You and Me” was released as a music video and a Nightcore remix on December 28, 2016. The song was yet again a success for Blacklite District resulting in 400,000.
On January 20, 2017, BLD released “Living In A Nightmare” as the first single from upcoming album Instant Gratification. With a coinciding Nightcore release, “Living In A Nightmare” broke the Top 25 on the BDS Indicator chart, marking the bands highest spot in chart history. The song has been streamed over 250,000 times.
On February 24, famed radio DJ Lou Brutus posted the bands video for “Cold As Ice”, which was released the same day. The song scored a whopping 350,000 streams in its first week alone, and as of May 2017, has over 3.5 million combined views on YouTube. “Cold As Ice” serves as the second single from Instant Gratification. In the summer of 2017, “Cold As Ice” was added to Spotify’s “Rock Hard” playlist, and was put into rotation on SiriusXM’s alternative channel Faction. In October, “Cold As Ice” was added to rotation on SiriusXM Octane, and it’s Minecraft music video has over 10 million views on YouTube. There are about 4 videos about a Herobrine invasion with zombies and “nether watchers” and how the main character, a player in a blue suit, survives. There are 4 songs in total in the order of The Struggle, Cold as Ice, We are the Danger (possibly not from Blacklite District), and Just so you Know.
Blacklite District released their third album Instant Gratification on September 22, going Top 10 on Amazon’s Top Electronic Albums chart.
Newly formed rock band Stereo Satellite, featuring Lukas Rossi (Rock Star Supernova), Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob), John Moyer (Disturbed), and Jordan Cannata (Adrenaline Mob), has released the Official Music Video for their debut single, “Glass Houses.” Originally premiered on Loudwire, “Glass Houses” is the first single off of their new album tentatively set for April 2018 release. Fans can access exclusive content for the album release via the bands’ PledgeMusic campaign.
Stereo Satellite plays hard rock music that flirts with alternative rock influences. By melding hook-filled melodies within heavy guitar riffs and hard beats, the band shows their ability to compact a vast array of influence and experience into a signature sound with substance, style, and spirit. Mike Orlando and Lukas Rossi are the key architects behind the band’s vibrant, modern rock-inspired sound – powered by seamless songwriting adeptness that combines a story of both the joys and heartaches of life.
Mike Orlando is no stranger to heartaches, having recently been involved in a tragic accident on July 14, 2017 while on tour in Florida with his former band Adrenaline Mob. The crash occurred when a tractor-trailer veered off Interstate 75 and struck the band’s RV, van, and trailer, which resulted in the death of Adrenaline Mob bassist David Zablidowsky, tour manager Jane Train, and seriously injuring six others.
“Over the past recent months, I have learned a lot about how cathartic music can be, especially after going through such a heinous life-changing tragedy”, said Orlando. “It’s been a complete uphill battle in even trying to begin to heal physically and mentally. I have a long road ahead for sure and will have to undergo many more procedures and ongoing therapy.” Orlando adds, “I don’t think I’ll ever fully heal mentally but I’ve been moved to write songs again with my brother Lukas who I feel is an amazing songwriting partner, and start this new band along with my brothers John Moyer and Jordan Cannata. I find it really helps me to cope and I can’t wait to share all the music we’ve written and start touring again full-time.”
John Moyer admits to having mixed feelings about the band being dubbed a supergroup. “We hate the supergroup thing because it’s a new band in its own right,” Moyer says. “But I think it’s important for us to say we’ve been around the rock music scene for a long time and in various ways. Stereo Satellite is a new beginning for us all, and I’m looking forward to sharing our new music with the fans very soon.”
Lukas Rossi concurs, saying, “I can’t wait to release our new songs and perform them live with these awesome guys. Regarding the supergroup thing, look I don’t care what you call us, just call us!”

Ft. Lauderdale, FL based metal band Ornimental has released the Lyric Video for their single, “Love Thy Enemy.” Originally premiered on Tattoo.com, “Love Thy Enemy” is available to stream and download online.
“Love Thy Enemy is about somebody that betrayed someone so bad that they could start dedicating their life to start a war with them. It could start as revenge with that prideful, arrogant person, but decided that the righteous path of love is better for both sides. ” – Ornimental

Ornimental is a band with a mission, a mission to put the groove punch, originality, and excitement back into metal, where it belongs. The name itself, Ornimental, comes from the Latin prefix Orni (to celebrate or decorate) and the root word mental (of intelligence or insanity), and true to form, Ornimental delivers an intelligent, possessed sound that celebrates the origins and foundations of hard rock and metal alike.
Harkening back to heavy metal legends like Megadeth, Van Halen, Metallica, Arch Enemy, and Pantera, famously led by deceased guitar legend Dimebag Darrell, Ornimental doesn’t rest on writing and simply producing crunchy, appetizing, complex guitar licks. Oh, they produce hair raising Hard Rock at its most fundamental level, rest assured, but the song writing and arrangement has a classical, even groove edge Blues, reminding the listener of a perfect marriage of Eddie Van Halen, Zeppelin, and Beethoven.
As if that marriage weren’t appealing enough, a deeper blues undercurrent exists in the band’s original music, paying homage to Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, the skilled David Gilmore of Pink Floyd, and many other legends, yet Ornimental’s music has a modern influence which is subtly inherited from avant garde bands like Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, and Trivium.
Ornimental was founded by lead guitarist Danny Perry and drummer Julio. Danny has been writing unique, intoxicating original music for over half a decade. Danny Perry’s admiration for Beethoven lead him to be the Lead Guitarist for the Miami Dade Film Gaming Orchestra which won an Emmy in 2016. By absorbing the classical structures of the masters together with his passionate influences such as Eddie Van Halen, Dave Mustaine, Kirk Hammet, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Dimebag Darrell, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton. Danny’s powerful voice is only trumped by his dedication to performance and skilled guitar playing. Danny has been offered music scholarships by renowned music schools.
As a graduate of the world renown SAE Institute in Audio Engineering Danny’s focus on detail to music brings you closer to the songs. He was born an engaging front-man, though, and has found a niche harmonizing with talented rhythm guitarist and back-up vocals from Ariel. Julio’s skill as a percussionist empowers the emotion you feel every minute. Topping it off is bassist Sully who brings a skill that resonates in his playing. Together they have successfully brought the band to life in the past few years.
Since rounding out the band, Ornimental’s popularity has skyrocketed, as the band has performed in the more chic, popular venues, and even being called on to play at the world famous Revolution Live. Most recently performed on the same bill as Children of Bodom, Death Angel, TYR, Non Point, Havok, Lacuna Coil, Eye Empire, Sid Wilson from Slipnot with Keen & Sid, Overkill, Scott Soto, and more. They’ve had interviews with Horn’s Up Rock, New Times Magazine, and even been featured on Blabbermouth Magazine. They had airplay on national radio and now a larger audience is demanding their music be played on radio. Ornimental’s goal is to take over the metal universe, playing in large venues, opening for the big boys like Metallica and Van Halen, and more of their many influences.
St. Louis NuMetal band Discrepancies has released the Official Music Video for their single “Rock the Show,” off of their 2016 released The Awakening. Originally premiered on Huffington Post, “Rock the Show” is a high energy, light hearted departure from the albums more serious tone, and one likely to be a party favorite!
“What makes “Rock the Show” even better is that the track is truly and honestly enjoyable…In the current political and social climate, a return to music as pleasure and unifying power is definitely a welcome change; from hipster suburbanites to urban rap and Midwest hard core fans, “Rock the Show” is definitely a song meant to be enjoyed, but is all the more enjoyable for intentionally bringing together fans.” – Huffington Post
“Our feelings about our album, The Awakening, is that it tackles everything from depression to social-political issues while also shining a light on the darker side of relationships such as heartbreak and betrayal. But with ‘Rock The Show,’ we wanted to give our audience a chance to step back from their problems by reminding them to enjoy life, if only for these four minutes. “Rock The Show” is a combination of rock and hip hop with vocals that offer a new twist on the iconic Beastie Boys / House of Pain style of delivery. We just wanted to make it fun.” – Discrepancies
Comprised of Garrett Weakley (Bass), Addison Bracher (Guitar/vocals), Steve Declue (Drums), and Antonio Metcalf (Vocals) have formed an undeniably powerful sound. The 4 blend together many genres to create an innovative soundscape that is guaranteed to grab your interest.
Their Release of their Debut Album, The Awakening, was met with a lot of love and success. The first single “Raising The Bar” hit 30,000 views in less than 2 days, and continued to rise afterwards. The second single “Art Of War” had a strong release and the video for it was featured on Alternative Press, Metal Injection, and more! “Art of War” is currently on a radio cycle and so far is being played nationally in the US.

2017 Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee Neal Schon has released his first ever holiday EP that includes “Ave Maria,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and instrumental renditions of Journey hits “Open Arms” and “Faithfully”.
Schon founded Journey in 1972 and has been the only consistent member, having participated in every album and tour to date. Schon is a Grammy-nominated guitarist, songwriter and vocalist who is not only the founding member of Journey, but was a member of Santanaand has performed with a variety of other acts including Bad English, Jan Hammer, HSAS and has released 10 solo albums including his latest Votex. His guitar style has been described as soulful and melodic, admired by such fellow legends as Eric Clapton and Prince, who reportedly asked for Schon’s blessing to release “Purple Rain”, which echoed a similar sound to Journey’s “Faithfully”.
Journey’s worldwide sales have reached over 100 million records, making them one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time, with a wide selection of chart-topping hits like “Don’t Stop Believin'”, “Open Arms”, “Lights”, “Faithfully”, and “When You Love a Woman”, among others.
Orange county’s seminal post-hardcore/rock champions Project 86, has released their 10th album, Sheep Among Wolves, in celebration of their 20th year as a band. The Pledgemusic funded project highlights a lengthy career with an impressive, genre-defying milestone of ten songs.
“How many bands make ten records?” Comments front man and songwriter Andrew Schwab. “And how many bands can confidently say their later releases can even compete with their earlier material? We honestly believe these songs are strong enough to turn the ear of even the most apathetic listeners who still have a place in their hearts reserved for rock music.”
This is a lean, mean release that is all about memorable songwriting and contemplative lyricism. Whether you are a die-hard fan of Project 86, are casually acquainted, or are oblivious to one of the best-kept secrets in heavy music, Sheep Among Wolves is a record that will keep you listening, and most importantly, re-listening. Every song-and specifically, every chorus-is urgent, connective, and reactive. Is Project 86 post-hardcore? Metal? Rock? It doesn’t matter. Because the band knows that at the end of the day it is only the songs that matter. And these songs really do matter.
“We would like to think we have always had our own sound. We don’t exactly fit with anything else out there because we have never tried to…we just want to write songs that heavy music fans can turn up loud and scream along to at our shows, : Schwab states.

Progressive heavy metal band Chronologist has released a unique bass play through of their song “Guacaracha” by bass player Jim Schaefer. Originally premiered on Bass Player Magazine, “Guacaracha” is off of their 2016 released LP, Cartographer.
Spending a considerable amount of time on the road in support of their debut full length Cartographer in 2016 as well 2017, Chronologist shared the stage with some of the top names in the heavy metal industry.
Cartographer was produced alongside Evan Sammons (Last Chance To Reason) while mixing/mastering duties were handled by Jamie King (BTBAM, The Contortionist).
The single “Cartographer” is the brand new release from the full length with the same title.
“Cartographer the song was written about how each of us came from very different parts of the world and somehow managed to meet and start this band. We thought all of the songs on the album fit underneath this larger idea and so it made the most sense for us to make this the title track of our first full length record. We want to thank everyone that’s picked up their copy or supported us in any way!” – Chronologist
You can see the band on the road as well releasing new music video content in the future.
“…It’s beyond gratifying and exciting to hear a new collective that isn’t just aping Meshuggah palm-muting riffs and calling themselves “progressive” like every other band… To be around for barely over a year and have an instrumental demo be better than most of your peer’s LPs is a strong start.” Ghost Cult Magazine, 2014.
“A subset of these bands play something that’s been lovingly dubbed as adventure metal: focusing on a sense of atmosphere and progression… Among these bands are Scale The Summit and The Helix Nebula, and now, joining their ranks for your listening pleasure, is Chronologist!” Heavy Blog is Heavy, 2015.
“These guys are great at creating catchy tunes; a must have for instrumental fans.” Toilet ov Hell, 2016
Chronologist is an instrumental progressive metal band based out of Austin, TX.
The group began as a small group of friends that would regularly get together to jam and discuss all things music, movies, video games, or their shared love of food. Though the collective found they had many things in common, their diverse range of musical backgrounds led to them creating a unique approach to songwriting and performing metal music. As the group got together to write and craft their version of progressive metal more and more, the decision was made to turn their collaboration into a fully-fledged musical effort.
The band began to make a name for themselves after the release of their 2014 instrumental demo. The release of this demo allowed the band to begin performing regularly in and around the Boston area of Massachusetts where the band was originally formed at Berklee College of Music. Initially the demos were released in an effort to find a permanent vocalist for the band, but as their regular performances continued many people began to embrace them as an instrumental group and encouraged them to continue on as such. The success of these shows led to the band releasing their single demo “Sky Garden” in late 2014 which was the first time the band had released something that was intended to be heard as an entirely completed instrumental work.
After the resoundingly positive public response to their previous two releases, Chronologist began to expand their performance reach to the greater New England area for the rest of 2014 and early 2015 while at the same time continued writing new music behind the scenes. In the summer of 2015, the band started to formulate plans of a professional career.
Late 2015 marked the beginning of work on the band’s first full-length album Cartographer. The idea behind the album was to rerecord the previously released demos with better production, added features, and live drums as well as including four new songs written in the beginning time period of the band. The record was for the most part self produced but in an effort to take the record to a higher level Chronologist elected to have the album mixed and mastered by renown producer Jamie King (Between The Buried and Me, Scale The Summit, The Contortionist, and more) and to hire Evan Sammons (drummer of Last Chance To Reason) to help with additional production and drum tracking.
The album was worked on for the rest of 2015 and the majority of 2016. While the band was wrapping up work on the album, they were also performing the songs that would appear on the album live on their regularly scheduled shows around New England and on their first tour that took them around the entirety of the Northeastern region of the U.S. After that tour, the band came to the decision that a major move was needed in order to pursue a professional career being that none of the members were originally from the greater Boston area. They elected to relocate to the greater Austin, TX area and permanently moved there in the fall of 2016 where the band has begun performing regularly.
