Neo-Classical Hard Rock Project AMORIELLO–launched by renown guitarist, educator, and author Tom Amoriello and featuring former members of Black Sabbath, Dio, Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, TNT, Loudness, Dokken, Impellitteri, and Cacophony–has released a lyric video for “Battle Song (feat. Vinny Appice),” the debut single off of their upcoming self-titled LP. A tribute to metal legand Ronnie James Dio, “Battle Song (feat. Vinny Appice)” includes a thunderous drum solo for 16 bars by the former Sabbath/Dio drummer with an emotional vocal delivery from Nick Z Marino from the current Malmsteen lineup. Impelliterri bassist James Amelio Pulli and ex-Yngwie keysman Michael Troy also contribute their substantial talents to the track.

“The entire AMORIELLO album is emotional, and ‘Battle Song (feat. Vinny Appice)’ is one that takes on the unending conflict between two sides: aggression versus calm, combativeness versus compromise. The music is taut and stormy, then somber and solemn.

The whole album is a testament to the metal legends who inspired me, written with world class musicianship from those same icons. I dedicated this track to Ronnie James Dio (I attended his last concert in Atlantic City, NJ) and wanted someone who had been a part of his sound, hence Vinny Apice. In the course of of recording, showcasing his unique style, he let loose for 16 bars in that incredible solo, and all of the ambitions were met.”

Divine Era Releases ‘Scripture Codes Summon Suicidal Thoughts’

LA based groove metal artist DIVINE ERA has released his third full length album, Scripture Codes Summon Suicidal Thoughts, an 11 track, intensely layered collection of face melting metal tracks.

“Divine Era’s music is strongly influenced by Pantera and old Machine Head. This newest album, “Scripture Codes Summon Suicidal Thoughts,” definitely has that old school heavy metal vibe. I sing and scream throughout the groovy riffs entwine with calculated drum patterns.

I love playing guitar solos. You will hear plenty on this LP. I’m not much of a shredder. I do my own thing with feel and a lot of chicken picking. My main personal influences are Dimebag Darrell, SRV and Zakk Wylde.
The main focus is to not only write groovy songs that make people move, but to compose different sounding songs; each with its own color making them all easily identifiable.

I’m very happy with how this album came out and hope you enjoy listening as well.” – Divine Era

WELL HUNG HEART RELEASE MUSIC VIDEO FOR “OBEY” FEATURING NOODLES FROM THE OFFSPRING

California-based rock and roll band Well Hung Heart has released the first song & music video from their forthcoming album, “OBEY”, a dystopian glam rock anthem for today’s times. Lead singer Greta Valenti explains, “We wanted to release ‘Obey’ first as it is the most direct message with kind of an ominous warning to it. The song itself has a very fun swagger, but with an underlining sort of biblical warning to it all. It’s also a tribute to John Carpenters’s film They Live and George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead but brought into today’s environment of social media and these screens that we get sucked into.”

The music video for “Obey” features a guest appearance by Noodles from The Offspring, whom Well Hung Heart opened for in 2017. The song is the first taste of what is to come for their upcoming LP, Songs for the End of the World, to be released later this year with an accompanying visual album, and followed by a feature-length Horror Film with US & European Tour Dates. This summer, the band will be playing Rocklahoma festival on May 27th with a few tour dates leading up, and producing their own “Inclusive Specialty Rock Festival,” Feedback Fest, on August 18th, 2018 in Santa Ana, CA, specifically designed to highlight under-represented artists in Rock music.

Well Hung Heart first formed in Orange, California as a duo in 2011 by artist and performer, Greta Valenti and blues guitar veteran, Robin Davey. Producing their own music and videos, the duo quickly gained a following online and around the world creating melodic, driving rock songs often interwoven with dabbles of social awareness. Their first single, “The Music Made Me Do it” caused internet raucous with simultaneous instant popularity calling out the child abuse allegations within the Catholic Church in the music video, while also being musically infectious. Their first mix tape, The State of America, featured art created by Greta, using real U.S. currency and sold out within an hour. Their next two albums (Young Enough To Know It All and Go Forth and Multiply) received numerous radio play and awards for sound and video. In 2015, the self-titled EP, Well Hung Heart, showcased a marvelous musical evolution of melody and heavy groove, with the song “Touch the Sky,” earning them 16 weeks of airplay (6 weeks at #1) on KROQ, Southern California’s largest rock radio station. Their reckless and raw performances have earned the band numerous awards, tours throughout the United States, United Kingdom and Europe, performances at major Festivals (SXSWWarped TourRocklahoma35 DentonSturgis Buffalo ChipMake Music Festival and more) and opening slots with acts like The OffspringLinkin ParkFitz & The TantrumsOzzy OsbourneAwolnation, and Alice Cooper. In 2016, Well Hung Heart launched their own music festival Feedback Fest to a Sold Out audience, as a way to showcase and integrate artists into the rock genre that felt weren’t getting opportunities they deserved because of gender, sexual orientation or diversity. Feedback Fest will return on August 18th, 2018 in Santa Ana, CA promising an unnamed headliner and a diverse lineup.

The group has now evolved from the initial duo into a foursome by adding Southern California punk bassist and KROQ radio personality Danielle “Chip” Lehman plus dynamic powerhouse and Tulsa native, Brad Jones. Greta Valenti & Robin Davey also own a media company Grow Vision for which they have created award-winning films, television shows (like Live from Daryl’s House Daryl Hall of Hall & Oates show on MTV Live), YouTube content for major brands and music videos for artists like Bush and Papa Roach. The band is entirely self-sufficient and operates their own label, Grow Vision Music. The upcoming album, Songs for the End of the World, will be the first album from the new foursome-version of Well Hung Heart and will be accompanied with a visual album and followed by a feature-length Horror Film.
