“This single is our strongest of the three songs that we wanted to release this year. We believe ‘Stuck On Repeat’ is the best representation of how our song writing has evolved over time; “All killer and no filler” has been a reoccurring response we’ve received from industry professionals.

This single was brought to it’s fullest potential with the help of producer Matt Good (From First to Last). He has a way of bringing out the best in you while making the recording process an enjoyable experience.
Although it’s message is serious in tone, the song is catchy and will have you jumping to the beat.” – AFTER THE CALM

After the Calm started from a living room jam session on Memorial Day of 2014 with friends Kody Rattler (Drums), David Nuñez (Guitar), and Henry Cota Jr. (Bass). Jonathan Habermacher (Guitar) joined the band shortly after the initial meeting. The search for a singer was long, but with the luck of a Craigslist ad, the band had added Logan Miracle (Vocals) as the final piece to their puzzle.

Their influences range from System of a Down to Blink-182; their sound is often compared to A Day To Remember and Four Year Strong. Some songs will have metal riffs while others tread on the line of pop-punk. There is definitely something for everyone, whether they want to mosh or just jump up and sing along. On October 15th, 2016, After the Calm released their debut EP, Ignis Fatuus, hosting a sold out show at local venue Joe’s Grotto. Their on-stage energy and crowd engagement lead them to opening for international acts such as I See Stars, I Prevail, and WATERPARKS. Their sound and hard work earned them a slot on the final Van’s Warped Tour 18’ in Arizona. Aside from playing shows, the band has worked on giving back to their community by raising money for the Arizona Humane Society through various fundraisers.

“I’m very excited to finally have this album out for everyone to hear—sorry for the wait! I really think that many of our fans will like this album. It has been a journey lasting several years now, and I wrote a lot of the songs on this album based on the challenges I’ve faced as someone with an ambition to be an artist and play music for a living; and also how that affects different relationships you have with different people. To all our fans, I hope this album can help you do something you’re scared of, like it has for me. If you have any doubts or think other people don’t believe you can be something more, please don’t let that stop you! It’s always been up to you.” – John Norbert Aquino

The band was formed in August 2013 by vocalist/guitarist John Aquino and currently also consists of Spasimir Vasilev (drums), Steven Wolwyn (bass/backing vocals), and Chris Goodfellow (lead guitar/backing vocals). The name was inspired by Green Day’s song “Minority” and Aquino’s hometown of Mississauga, ON, Canada (its area code is 905). Aquino identified with the word “Minority” because it embraced individuality and accepting one’s self. The band has released 2 studio albums and 1 EP.

In 2015 after recording their debut album Broken, Not Beaten the band decided to start posting weekly videos on YouTube. Shortly afterwards they posted their hit Green Day Medley video which kickstarted the channel’s growth. Minority905-10

Minority 905 is a pop-punk band founded by then-17-year-old John Aquinoand former members of the band in August 2013. The name was inspired by Green Day’s song “Minority” and Aquino’s hometown of Mississauga, ON, Canada (its area code is 905). Aquino identified with the word “Minority” since he believed that the combination of his ethnicity, personality, and interests were rare in the punk rock scene.

Aquino met former member Aidan Collins on YouTube, after Collins saw a few of Aquino’s covers and contacted him. However, he did not join the band until early 2014 when the band needed a bassist. Collins joined and became the new bassist.

Throughout the next few months, Minority 905 played as much as they could, wherever possible–birthday parties, house parties, local bars, and local venues. Eventually, they were noticed by local producer, Mason Dayot at a show they played in Brampton–which was also the last show the former drummer played. Without an official drummer, Minority 905 went on to record their debut EP titled Luck Is For Losers with Dayot, who played the drums for the record.

Soon after the record released, current drummer Spasimir Vasilev joined Minority 905. Vasilev met the members at a previous show where he volunteered to sing “Blitzkrieg Bop” (The Ramones) with Minority 905. Once again, the band played many local shows and even opened for the bands Such Gold and Transit. In December 2014, they went on a weekend mini-tour with local bands Setback and Triumph Over Adversity.

In 2015, the lead guitarist left the band and Collins opted to start playing lead guitar instead of the bass. Current bassist Steven Wolwyn joined soon afterwards. The band closely worked with Dayot throughout the songwriting process during the early months of 2015 in preparation for the next record, which would be their first full-length album.

In July 2015, Collins left the band due to his family moving out of the city, and Dayot then decided he was going to take over guitar duties; as well as continue to be the main man to produce Minority 905’s album Broken, Not Beaten”

In March 2016, Mason left the band to pursue teaching English in Japan, and current guitarist, Chris Goodfellow joined the band in July 2016.
